You realise that if Mayweather didn't retire Pacquiao wouldn't be the star he is now? He wouldn't have gotten his fight with De La Hoya, he wouldn't be ranked pound for pound no. 1. Chances are he wouldn't get the Hatton fight either.

He'd probably be at 135lbs or 140lbs now.

lol "If". Floyd "retired" because the competition was hotting up. Then he waits for the best to fight the best, lose their 0's, ruin one another, then comes back with all his excuses why he dont need to fight any of them. He didnt want an oscar re-match, cotto, margarito, williams, younger shane, floyds a *****hole.

the real question u should ask is why do people believe pacquiao can beat mayweather
                Pac's recent fights:
Clottey - after a loss to Cotto
Cotto - after a beating from Margarito
DLH - After a loss to Floyd
Hatton - After a loss to Floyd
Diaz - After watching Diaz struggle to a razor thin decision over Morales who Pac had already KO'd twice.
                Marquez - Disputed SD
                Solis - Who???
Morales - Coming off a loss every time he fought Pac.
Larios - Coming off a 3rd rd KO at 2 divisions lower.
Barerra - 72nd fight, where will pac eb in 17 fights?

People idolize him because he's like a rapper and wish they could live his life.

are you a Manny Pacquaio fan??

I gather your attempt at changing the topic means you realise the ******ity of arguing that Mayweather retired to duck Pacquiao?

Floyd wanted Mosley in 2000, when he was 28 or 29 and undefeated it's Shane's fault that they fought when they did.

Paul Williams is still around to fight.

Cotto and Margarito has been covered to death.

With regards to Oscar, I wouldn't give someone I beat a rematch if they are demanding the bigger slice of the pie.

He is an outstanding boxer and his game plan has not failed yet, 100% win rate is hard to argue with though he seems like a **** but who knows that may just be for the cameras.
