I believe in Floyd because he is a great fighter and in my opinion should be able to get the job done in the ring no matter who he fights.

As for him as a man whatever everyone has their virtues and faults.

it's all an act for the cameras. floyd is a great person in real life. you see when he beat those women up he thought their were cameras around so he could portray his bad guy image but he was mistaken. just bad luck. can you imagine floyd beating women on 24/7 that would do 4 million buys guaranteed!

well...there is a difference between a character and a real person...wrestlers in WWE don't really act like that...it's just their persona...their job to act like that...and no...wrestling is not real...

1st off, most people like Floyd because of his boxing. If he was 0-41 and acted the way he does then no one would give a **** about him. 2nd, you think he may be an offseason doper? Dont let the persona fool you. Its well documented that he goes to clubs but he has never ever takened a single drink or smoke in his life. The man is pure when it comes to that ****. You talking about rap but youre the one thinking that. Most of the hip hop people know that he doesnt drink, smoke, and he bust his ass to get where he's at. He comes off the plane to run at 3am. You cant knock that ****. Dont be one sided about it

Most of the items you mentioned in your post have nothing to do with what Mayweather is able to accomplish in the ring. In terms of his ring persona, I can agree with you somewhat, he isn't the most sympathetic of characters with his constant talk of paychecks and how much money he earns. In terms of ego, yep, he's got it in spades but then again so do many figures that excel in their given field. This notion that people that are good at things have to be likable is silly, the fact is Mayweather has managed to thrive despite many of the alleged shortcomings you listed. And your drug charge, well, let's just say...

If people need to wake up it's to the fact that boxing is a sport comprised of many champions with amazingly different personalities, motivations and drives but at the end of the day let's measure them based on their skills and not the issues that easily enflame our tempers.

why are people so focused on his personal life and what he does outside of the ring, he is a BOXER NOTHING MORE, you don't know what type of father he is nor do you know how he act around his kids so it is unfair to just assume what type of father he is

why do some fans feel they have the right to tell a Athlete how "he should act", Mayweather is only selling fights when he talks trash and does the things he do on HBO 24/7, most people know that but unfortunately it is a few people who are probably new to boxing who actually thinks that is really how he is all the time

I think a lot of people hate the fact that he is the way he is and on top of that he is a great fighter and he continues to win, what you think about Mayweather means absolutely NOTHING, he has a lot more fans then he has haters obviously...THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE!

who cares what he does outside the ring?

i only care about what he does inside the ring. I don't give a **** about his personal life, as I have my own life to attend. Some of you guys spend to much time on this site..

It's common knowledge that floyd "retired" for 18 months to juice up cos he saw pacquiao knocking out everyone he had ducked in devastating fashion. Then he has the liberty to call out pac for taking ped's lol the power of the internet hey
