If he gets chin checked and handles it well, he can be at the top of 140 when everything is said and done.

Khan should be able to beat Maidana because Maidana is slow and lacks defense, he has to fight Bradley or Alexander to really go to that "Next Level" until then he can fight Maidana and Katsidis and he still won't get that respect he desires, I respect his skills no doubt but I like many still have doubts about that chin and his last 3 opponents have been against guys who wasn't able to test that chin

I guess he thinks he is Mayweather now with all the money talk he been doing lately: "Compare my bank account to Alexander, Bradley and Maidana and tell me who is King", sure he has more money then them because Golden Boy is doing a great job building him up

Personally, it would be a real hard call. Overall I'd say Khan is the better boxing technique wise and all, but Maidana would make the fight damn physical. He'd be in Khan's face from bell to bell and would really really force Khan to keep his cool. Either way I'd lov to see that fight.

Cheers for the sensible posts fellas, and to the others who have just added posts.

I agree, not sure if the fight will get made, but i would be impressed with a Khan win. I can see Khan out-boxing Maidana, but Maidana is a tough fighter, Khan would have to stay sharp for the whole fight. Would be an interesting match-up for sure.

I agree with whats being said. Im a Khan fan and i think a win against Maidan would be impressive and a good name to put on his resume. I see the next step up then, against the Alexanders and the bradleys as the real acid test.

Some good fighters at 140 at the minute though, but i feel Khan has the ability to mix with them.

I also feel like people are weighing too much on Khan getting dropped. Yes, he got knocked out...doesn't necessarily mean he got a glass jaw, for sure it doesn't mean he has an iron jaw but it's not like he'll drop at the moment someone throws a jab at em. Anyone can get caught on anyday, now if it becomes a trend that he constantly gets dropped like that then yes, definitely has a glass jaw...but not from what I've seen.

Yeah mate, be interesting to see if his chin holds up better at 140. It was a couple of big knockdowns he was on the end of against Prescott, im not to sure if his chin is as bad as some say though just yet.
It may well be, id just like to see how he reacts to a clean shot from a good puncher first to see what happens. Thats something Maidana is very capable of giving Khan though, so makes for an interesting fight between them two.

For sure man, people forget this is a combat sport and anything can happen, including getting knocked out. There's so many variables and so many different things can happen, it's not always one clear cut path.
