Mayweather says he only wants PPV fights from now on

Does anyone have a problem with him saying that? Is it an indirect way of him saying screw the fans, just pay me?

All I know is that if he wants that, he can't fight anymore Henry Bruseles' of the division. He has to go after Cotto and Hatton. He has to clean the division.

He'll definitely stick to the elite fighters, and he'll definitely get his way with the PPV, I think. But really, I think a champ should be ready to fight at any time, or any place, and money should be the last thing on their mind.

Listen Mayweather is good for the sport he is maturing you see he obviously will make a name for himself now he knows if he improves his image he can make millions like oscar. He also loves promoting his fights he showed up an hour early each time while gatti shows an hour late. We need more talkative personas in boxing cause they sell. How are you gonna get fans to boxing if you cant sell yourself and spark interest? ALi was the best at that.

Im not surprised. Problem is, He's almost too good. Tyson had the unbelievable KO power. With Oscar he was everybodys favorite. I just dont see people buying a lot of ppv untill somebody comes along that has a great chance of beating him. I wont pay to watch him work over Hatton or anybody else right now.

Yeah I was surprised that this was his first PPV...If he want his next fight to be a ppv event he will need to fight the likes of Hatton/Cotto or Chico/Castillo again..

I agree, but that has nothing to do with whether or not a fighter is fighting on ESPN or PPV. It's their job to promote the fight.
