The British public didn't love Eubank or see him as 'real'.

He's well liked now, but in his prime he was hated and most people wanted to see him lose. Only towards the end of his career did that change, when the Watson tradegy was not so fresh in everyone's minds and Eubank showed heart in his defeats.

A lot of people disliked Hamed as well. He had more fans than Khan, but he also had more people who wanted to see him lose. He was seen by many as disrespectful, arrogant and protected.

Let me remind everyone that earlier in this thread an Amir Khan fan said that Paul Maligaggi whooped Juan Urango.

So trying to bring these idiots back to reality is gonna take awhile.

Nothing he said today or yesterday, it's the way he talked in general when he was in england. Just because he wasnt loved he started getting emotional and complaining about it. Thats why he fucked off to america. He's desperate for attention. You cant make fans love you. They either do or they dont. Like i said the british see straight through the wannabe. He will never be naz.

Yes but the point is they were just being themselves. They were original. There's not one person in the world everyone loves.

Eubank wasn't being himself. He developed a public persona and stuck to it for several years. You think a poor black kid who spent his childhood in a poor part of London and a poor park of New York naturally behaves like Eubank did? Come on...

I think Khan is pretty genuine in how he behaves. It's just that his real personality is that of an immature little prick lol.

Regarding khan i agree to that extent - he is very immature. I think that's why he's not loved in england, the british grow up fast and he's represents the small minority of spoilt, ignorant kids. Thats why they dont relate to or support him. About eubank he is still like that, maybe as not as drastic, but iv seen him driving around brighton in his big lorry and walking around with his spectacle and walking cane many times, he even smokes a cigar now and still talks with that ******, kind of articulate accent lol He was always arrogant and rude, as his father explained in the eubank benn documentary. Thats why he sent him to new york.

Im a Khan fan. I dont think he's as bad as many believe but I have enough sense to see his faults. He can definately act like a pr1ck sometimes. He needs to stop talking trash and just get on with it.

The last few fight press conferences i've seen of his, im always hearing him say, 'im not a trash talker, im going to let my fists do the talk. Come fight night its just me and him, we'll see then.' But quite honestly, he was chatting shizer through that whole period too.

I can understand some Khan fans wanting to back him up (im a fan too) but lets not back him up on ****** issues like this. He needs to STFU and do what he needs to do.

If he ever fights Marcos Maidana the "Amir Khan Funeral Donations Thread" will probably last at least 30 pages.
