Honestly, Floyd's punching power is underrated. I'll admit that I didn't think he could hit as hard as he does. Gatti has not lost his punch resistance. He took a pretty savage beating from Mayweather. That guy can hit much harder then people are giving him credit for. If he didn't, Gatti would have walked right through him. You could tell from the sound, and the sharpness of those punches, that they were hard, and they hurt.

it's not that they are so hard it's the sheer volume and the fact that the punches land so clean

Gatti is a brawler, and Hatton would wake up 2 days after that fight and begin a new career selling tulips at Wal Mart.
And then you woke up & your coffee was cold!

We Americans sure do love our fighters, and I don't have the most faith in our buddy Gatti-- but that being said I would say there is roughly a five percent chance that Gatti would be able to shock Hatton. As you say styles make fights so this is an increase from the zero percent chance that Gatti would beat Mayweather. But even if Gatti 'brawls' with Hatton, Ricky is a better brawler then Arturo is. Don't hold your breath for this one, Gatti is not going to be getting another title shot anytime soon.

Hatton holds every advantage over Gatti save a knockout punch.

Gattis eyes swell up way too easily. He could brawl for 6 rounds and hed be blind.

Hatton beats Gatti, Cotto beats of them, Floyd destroys all three of em.
