Because is just how it is in the sport of boxing. You lose 2 of your last 4 fights in brutal fashion and people beging to lose interest in your fights and it doesn't help that your opponent is not a draw, exciting or atleast someone people know from past big fights. Cotto got 14k against Jennings at the garden so he can draw by himself. I find 12,500 at this point in such a big time site like Yankee stadium to be really dissapointing and i sign that people are losing interest in Miguel Cotto. Is really a must win for Cotto when you think about it.Comment

Of all the hardcore Puerto Rican Cotto fans, I got a question for you. Have you ever been to a Miguel Cotto fight live? And also, are you going to this one? Because it seems like some of Cotto's fans are abandoning him. Are you all putting your hope in Juan Ma Lopez and Vasquez Jr?
Yes, I've seen Miguel fight live against Margarito and yes, I am going to this fight. 20,000 would still be the biggest attendance Miguel has ever done so I'm not sure he isn't drawing the numbers he used to. Even though he set the record at MSG, it is still less than 20,000 seats. This fight probably should of done more, especially because it is a ground breaking event because of the venue but failed to do so because of Foreman and the undercard. I'm sure a lot of PR's have jumped off Miguels bandwagon like any nation does when their fighter goes down but he still has very loyal fans. I think the blame falls on Arums shoulders. Boxing is my favorite sport and even I am not going to show up till the fight before the two televised bouts. I'd rather be doing something else in NYC than sitting around watching 6 awful bouts.Comment

The undercard doesn't look bad. I'd watch them all for sure but then again, I am hardcore.
There are definitely good fighters and possibly some very good fights among prospects.Comment

Why did Pacquiao against Clottey sell so many tickets, because Clottey has got to be the most reclusive fighter there is? And even that card had garbage ass fights from top to bottom like a typical Arum card.Comment

pretty sad if u ask me i mean the big event here is Cotto fighting in the Yankee Stadium. only 12,500 sold?
Margarito fought a even less known oponent and sold 20k no problem. this once again proves margarito is obe of the biggest draws in boxing
good luck to cotto hopefully foreman wont body himComment
