Bob Arum projects Yankee Stadium crowd of 20,000

With barely a week left until Yuri Foreman defends his WBA super welterweight title against Miguel Cotto June 5 at Yankee Stadium, plenty of good seats remain. Earlier this week, promoter Bob Arum said approximately 12,500 seats have been sold in an arena configured to seat 29,000.

Yankee Stadium is not as equipped to handle 30k+ like the cowboys stadium is.

There's no jumbotron in the middle of the field and the seating arrangements for a boxing event has got to be awkward.

25k would've been a better number but 20k is still good.

And this fight would've sold better at MSG on the eve of the PR Day parade anyway. What this tells me is nobody gives a **** about Yuri Boreman or Cotto for that matter.
