James toney looking impressive in mma training

Future Hall of Famer James "Lights Out" Toney not only has that fire back in his eyes, but he's also been extremely impressive in his MMA training regimen. "He's losing weight very well and he has that fire back in his eyes. I'd be the first to tell you if he was slipping, but even with the ground stuff today, I was impressed man," a source informed us after witnessing firsthand one of Toney's training sessions. According to reports, Toney is putting in the work and has been threatening some of the partners that he's been rolling with. "He told the cats that he was rolling with that if they went easy on him, they would have to spar him afterwards and he would tear their *** up, so he's taking this serious man," the source added.

I have a hard time believing he is getting into shape for MMA because he didn't even try for Boxing

cut the guy some slack he couldn't find anyone to box him...I mean a fight that makes financial sense...not oquendo rematch.I like fres & feel he beat toney but it's not exactly a risk worth taking...especially after recent rumors that oquendo use to lowball guys & that's why he couldn't secure fights...toney was 217 last time I saw him.he had a gut but wasn't round like a bowling ball.when motivated & in shape he's a force still....hope he beats couture but I'd rather him be boxing.boytsov, dimitrenko & povetkin should fight toney....toney always likes butting heads with atlas....who has always been one of his biggest critics....war toney! Get back to boxing

                  Boxing was easy for him.
He needed a challenge to get him motivated again.
