PBF created a lot of this negative talk about him. He could clear some of it by fighting and beating Pac.
Sure people might still have bad things to say even if he beats Pac, but at least to most people he cant have done anymore even if he tried.

Sure 147 might not be pacs best weight, and it might just be 140. But Pac is there on offer for PBF. SHould take it IMO.

Mosley was too busy chasing Oscar. Which is why he went from 135 to 147 skipping 140 altogether remember? Or did you not follow boxing then?

this is why floyd has a international & universal reputation for being a cherry picking scared fighter who is afraid to lose his 0 & fight threatening opposition. He stays in divisions or jumps around diffrent division to avoid fighting threatening opposition.

joe calzaghe did the same exact thing. stayed at 168 when he could have fought roy at 175 or bernard at 160.

i find it also interesting that people are saying that shane was shot and old when floyd beat him. these were the same people that said shane would destroy and knock out floyd. he didnt seem old and shot when he hurt floyd in second round. he wasnt shot when he knocked out ricardo mayorga and antonio margarito. not too many people said that he looked old and shot when he lost to cotto. so why is it that when floyd beats him people make an excuse that shane aged over night. that had nothing to do with it. floyd was hurt, he recovered, he adjusted his strategy and won the fight. thats all that it was. its not floyd's fault that shane failed to finish him when he clearly had him hurt.

Someone who has Ali as his avatar should know a thing or two. Ali was a good example of taking on beasts such as Foreman even when they thought Ali had no chance.


I was one who said, Floyd has a big advantage in this fight because Mosley IS 39 years old and hasn't fought in 1.5 years. Once you reach that age you are not close to your prime.

Margarito's fight against Mosley was the 1.5 years earlier and Mosley had just fought Mayorga 4 months earlier. Meaning no ring rust. So that is NOT aging overnight as you put it. Add to this that Margarito is slower and more in tune to who Mosley CAN beat at his age, makes the point even more obvious.

What Mosley did to Floyd in the 2nd round can best be compared to what Calzaghe did to Hopkins and RJJ. Both Hopkins and RJJ had Calzaghe down early but then Calzaghe's made the fight look relatively easy the rest of the way. So just like the old RJJ and Hopkins can actually knock down a fast Calzaghe, an older Mosley can wobble a faster even younger Floyd.

Power is the last thing you lose when you get old. Mosley almost did it but close is not good enough in boxing. Mosley had a chance because of his talent but his age did him in on that night. Yes, Floyd had something to do with it too.

I agree with you man I'm no Floyd basher. I'll say this 130-135 he looked to be the next best thing. When he moved up to 140 it became the could of,should of, would of, BUT DID NOT. At the end of the day he did not make those fights whos fault is it?! Well Floyd Mayweather of course and any fight that floyd has really wanted he got. He could of fought Tzyu, it was right after showtime and hbo partnered for Tyson vs Lewis there was talks that they could partner again for a Tzyu vs Mayweather fight but Pretty Shat the Hell up and made no noice about that. Just look at his resume & ask yourself this question, name me a a fighter you could rightly classify as a GREAT Hall of Fame fighter that floyd beat in his prime?

1. Shane Mosley - bona fide great fighter. HOF.
2. Juan Manuel Marquez - bona fide great fighter. HOF.
3. Oscar De La HOya - bona fide great fighter. HOF.
4. Diego Corrales - very good fighter. Not a true HOF great fighter.
5. Jose Luis Castillo - very good fighter. Not a true HOF great fighter.

The 3 true great HOF fighters floyd fought were all past prime & one was severely taken advantage of in abomination of a fight.
