Floyd moved up in weight fighting champions at their weight just like Pac. Just because JMM challenged Floyd, and Floyd who never agreed to come in at 144 fought him only two pounds over 144 doesn't make the fight a disgrace.

Floyd and PAc are fast so anyone who moves up to fight them will have to deal with that, as Pac and Floyd had to deal with bigger men when they moved up. What's more of a disgrace, Floyd not agreeing to come in at 144, or PAc asking the WBO ww champ to weigh in at 145? If two pounds meant everything when floyd came in at 146, then why did two pounds make no difference when PAc fought Coto at 145, and why wasn't the fight at 147, the champions weight??? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

It cant get simpler than that.
PAc to only *******s and writers who love Pac's aggressive style against old or inferior fighters say PAc is the best in the world. True fight fans without a shadow of doubt know Floyd was always the best pfp fighter alive even when he retired and came back. Floyd's last two wins show fans why Floyd is who he is.

      • There is a laundry list of fighters Floyd supposedly was scared of or ducked. First it was Cotto, then it was Margarito, then Shane, and now Pac. Who is next, Dawson or Wlad lol...

Well i will just say Pac showed hes the best by the way he beat Cotto, and Clottey in his last 2 fights. PBF in his last 2 fights showed he is probably the hardest to hit often fighter in the world. But that dont say your the best.
All PBF has to do is beat Pac to be the best. Because he dont seem satisfied with no2 spot. Most people would be, but if you are going to complain like PBF and his fans are doing. You know what you gotta do.

Pac never showed me he was ever the best fighter in the world at anytime and if anyone Should be #2, it should be Pac. When PAc beats Floyd, then I'll believe PAc is the best in the world.

              Why a disgrace?

Marquez was one fight away from 130. Until the knockdown, Juan Diaz, had Marquez in trouble at 135. Yes, at 135. Then you are asking Marquez to come and fight a WW called Floyd? To boot, a Floyd who came in over the initially agreed weight (check for yourself if you think I'm not saying the truth.)

Floyd could have picked a WW. Why did he pick someone who was 1 fight from fighting at 130? There were many fighters who would have agreed or requested the challenge. Why not fight them?

Margarito, Cotto, Paul Williams, ..... have asked too but Floyd never fought them and they were all WW ...... picking Marquez just gives more ammunition to the doubters of Floyd.

              • Floyd has been selective with opponents since super featherweight , that I won't deny. But that is common knowledge and not worth going over and over again.

Diaz never had Marquez in trouble lol... Second, JMM challenged Floyd. Third, the agreement was that Floyd not come in over 147-there was no contractual agrement of weighing 144. Fourth, if i challenge a man, i'm not asking for tht fighter to fight at a catch weight period. Fifth, Floyd did at 130 what others wanted him to do at 147, and that's take on the best. Even Casamayor and Freitas looked the other way.

Floyd was a champion moving up to fight super fights like Manny. Manny has not cleaned out any division since 122. Cotto and Margarito were inferior fighters blown up by Arum's hype machine. Williams is a fighter if anything any of the champions could've fought, and to be honest, and I don't buy the excuse...but Williams is not a draw in their minds. So I disagree with most fo what you said with respect but you make a good point mentioning Williams...

                  • doesnt change the fact that he's a great fighter in his own right. he might not have a all time great fighter in his resume but he has a lot of very good wins vs very good opposition. Even if he fought cotto, margarito, & paul williams & beaten them, none of them would qualify as great hall of fame fighters. at least not yet.

                    • how many active fighters have beaten an ATG or clear cut HOF fighter that was in their prime? very few.

                      - mosley was coming off of the best win of his career
                      - hatton was undefeated and only moved up 7 lbs - if i recall he also weighed more on fight night.
