      Roy speaks the truth.

Hopkins and Mayweather are great in different ways and it depends on how you look at it. Both have damn good skills but they are not comparable in styles. I see why Mayweather and Hopkins are 1 and 2 and rightfully so. No disrespect to either one of them if they are in peoples 1 or 2 slot just as long as they are there.

There is no way that you can expect Hopkins at his age to give such a brilliant performance as Mayweather did against Gatti. We can't really compare Gatti and Taylor but its obvious that skillwise Taylor is the better man. Hopkins is old and has to rely on outboxing his opponent and pushing him off his fight plans. Like usuall he will take the first couple of rounds off so that he can adapt to his opponents style as he did with De la Hoya and then go for the kill if possible. How do you expect Hopkins to be lightning fast at 41?

Hopkins has always done that and Hopkins was never a fast guy. However, what was so brilliant about Hopkins was that he always stuck to his plan and never reverted to his opponents. What makes him so great is that he always made his fights exactly that. HIS FIGHTS

ranking mayweather #1 and hopkins #2 as P4P or hopkins #1 and mayweather #2 is all about opionion. Some people are going to favour mayweathers skills and others are going to favour the fact that hopkins has beat everyone for the last 10 years.

Pound 4 pound means that all things being equal who is better fighter rite. If thats the case, at this moment in time, with Mayweather at his peak and with Hopkins not at his peak i would have to favour Mayweather. But when Hatton and Mayweather fight and Hatton wins then Hatton will be P4P #1

People shouldn't judge Hopkins based on the Eastman fight. Hopkins always plays up or down to the level of his opponent and will look bad is the opposition looks bad as well. Eastman was just a guy he had to get through to get on with bigger and better things. Obviously age is going to hurt him but you can bet that the Hopkins we see against Taylor will be worlds apart from the one he brings into a fight against a middling mandatory like Eastman.

I believe if Hopkins fought Eastman 2 years earlier when he should have it would have been a different fight.

**** that! I say put Mayweather in the ring with Hopkins and let's see who really is the best boxer in the world! Hopkins KTFO Mayweather in 2 rounds once he chases him down in the ring.

Hopkins doesnt have the power, ironically I would actually favor Mayweather. This fight doesnt seem so unrealistic at all to be honest.
