Even a young George Foreman, who was basically killing people in the ring, had no trouble getting the top heavyweights to fight him.

Or Mike Tyson, the baddest man on the planet, he had no trouble getting not 1, not 2, but 3 champions to fight him in the span of 9 months on his way to unifying titles.
It may be true this is weak HW division then, the contenders seem to have a major lack of balls

        Shall we name them?

Valuev turned down 3 Million (the biggest payday of his life) by not fighting Vitali. He declined an offer of Wlad (to be enter the ring for the injured Haye), despite being in tip-top-shape (his own fight with Chagaev had just been cancelled).

Haye had a back injury (or perhaps a bankrupt UK TV channel), so he could not fight Wlad in June 2009. He further turned down an offer of Vitali in August 2009 and preferred to get a shot a Valuev. Finally, Wladimir called out to Haye for a fight recently, and gained no answer whatsoever (a.f.a.I.k.).

Povetkin is a mandatory of Wlad since fall 2008, and pulled out of a fight in Nov 2008 due to injury. He fought twice since then, but a fight with Wlad does not seem to materialize. Instead, he calls out for stricter drug tests.

Johnson was a master of defense against Vitali. He obviously just wanted a payday. At least he showed up, and even managed to survive 12 rounds.

Anybody else in the chicken farm? I have heard that talks with Solis fell apart as well.

you are right....todays contenders dont have balls......how many older heavyweights from the 90's are still fighting? They all want title shots but the Europeans are the ones ducking, backing out of fights,etc....I don't see any Americans turning down fights...it's strange the old, tough hw's all want to fight but none get any big fights(except ruiz),buy all the young talented Europeans duck out of title fights or don't want to fight...but instead guys like sosnowski & kingpin will get shots.guys who haven't beat one relevant name...I miss the days when a guy like mccline(ranked #2 in ibf at the time)risks his ranking vs up & coming Calvin Brock.Brock beat him & went on to get hammered by wlad.that was a risk no one would take today.mccline was very well respected after that & recieved 3 more title shots.2 were replacement shots but still the champions at the time needed a tough, durable,& credible opponent they called mccline...today we need more risk takers.your name is everything & if you make a good name for yourself you will be surprised on the amount of big fights that come your way.today if the "0" goes you suck & become yesterdays news....ask dimitrenko

You're saying "They", so do you know there are TWO Klitschko brothers?

I looked him up, and he was for real, he was a real dude and offered the fight and turned it down.
LOL! Some Mexican says he was offered $$$ to throw a fight? You are gullible...foremans comeback wasn't anything like vitalis.George retired for a decade & became a minister.his comeback was done over 4 years.he fought 24 nobodies to get himself in shape & ready to perform at a high level for the long hall.he won a world title at 45 over a prime michael moorer.hardly worth bashing the guy.his comeback was way more impressive.to quit at 27 & return at 38 is amazing.his comeback was done the right way.he built his record & confidence back gradually.George's comeback is impressive.vitali stayed in shape & always planned to comeback.vitali had injuries hold him back or he wouldve still been fighting...George found god! It can't be easy to get your killer instinct back after 10 years of clean, retired living...you shouldn't bash George.he was one of the most amazing athletes of my time.

Mayweather's just ****ed up the sport more.

All these tests are not obligatory ATM and it will affect fights being made.

If they were part of boxing, then fighters will do it, but it's not.

Do you really trust Manny's word anyways? He said 14 day cut off is "being bullied" and "it weakens him"...apparently now, only a few months later,it no longer has the same ill,side-effects to him,in fact he wants that old deal.Kinda strange,eh?
