Sanders would still be a difficult match-up for him, and also remember that the Sanders Wladimir fought wasn't exactly in his prime. He was 37 years old and a part-time fighter by then.

Prime for prime there'll always be a danger for Wladimir in the early rounds against Sanders. Keep in mind that Sanders similarly stunned Vitali in round one but Vitali had the chin to take Sanders's sneaky left hand. Obviously Wladimir is the better and more proven fighter overall, but it's not like he has fought anyone comparable to Sanders in the past 4 years.

Sanders fought perfectly in that fight, it looked like he seriously trained for Wladimir. His hands were always up, Sanders was effectively using the jab, and wasn't hit by one power punch from Wladimir.

Fighting 3-4 a year and also the most active heavyweight when it comes to output.

You're not setting anythign straight, you're being dumb.

Vitali fights who is put infront of him. It's not his fault that he only holds 1 of the titles therefore is stuck with the worst mandatories while wlad gets the big fights.

Sanders may well be Wlad's kryptonite, but is that really such a terrible thing? I mean there are fighters who just have another guy's number. Many people think Marquez has Pac's number, but that doesn't make Pac a lesser fighter for it. Foreman had Frazier's number and Ali had Foreman's. We look at all three of them as ATG's despite losses to each other.

A big, strong, fast southpaw is about the only way to beat Wlad anymore and I'm okay with that. I don't see him losing for the rest of his career because there don't seem to be any guys fitting the description, but I can see that as his one real weakness. If Thompson had any power it might have been a real interesting fight, but he didn't quite have what it took.

Wlad is my favorite fighter but I want to be realistic about it.
