Not true. Roach has more say than anyone in Manny's camp, he is after all like a father figure to Manny and without Roach, Manny wouldn't be where he is right now. That's a fact. Roach can talk Manny into accepting a lower pay cut just to fulfill Manny's promise to Roach that he will fight Gayweather for him for his last fight before he retires.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. finally has agreed to a fight on May 22, but it won't be against Paul Spadafora.

Although Spadafora agreed late last month to fight Mayweather in a title eliminator bout on HBO, the two sides couldn't settle on a site.

So Mayweather chose instead to fight former junior welterweight champion Demarcus "Chop Chop" Corley at the Atlantic City (N.J.) Convention Center.

Mike Acri, Spadafora's Erie-based promoter, found Mayweather was "impossible" to negotiate with because of demands to fight in his hometown of Grand Rapids, Mich.

"What it comes down to is Demarcus Corley is basically fighting for dog food," Acri said. "It's not that much of a disappointment. Paul never really believed it himself. Neither did anyone who's ever negotiated with this jerk."

He doesn't have a choice with Mayweather. I don't know what the split will be, but if the fight is going to happen, Mayweather will get the bigger cut. He can either fight Mayweather for the smaller cut or he can fight Margarito for one-third of what he would have earned with the smaller cut against Mayweather.

it doesnt matter what freddie roach says. it all comes down to pac. end of story.

I think the fight will happen but anybody with a decent memory will recall that Pac has been more difficult to negotiate with in the past couple years than Floyd has.
