Martinez offered to come down to 150 when Floyd was a title holder at 154.

He ducked Margarito before buying out his contract with Arum. Turned down a career high payday.

Mosley was trying to get Floyd since 135, fact!

After Manny agreed to testing, Floyd openly admits he "marinated" the fight for five years. His words.

Cotto wanted him before he was damaged goods.

Stevie Johnston was a slick southpaw that Floyd didn't want to fight at the time.

Freitas was no joke, and Floyd wanted no part of that.

Spinks wanted Floyd, but Floyd refused to fight him.

I don't even think the Martinez one was correct. The only way that one is correct is if you expected Mayweather to fight Martinez over Cotto that was coming off of his revenge match against Margarito, or if you expected Mayweather to fight Martinez immediately after his prison stint when he fought Guerrero.

3/2012 -- Sergio fights Macklin
5/2012 -- Mayweather fights Cotto

Cotto was clearly the right choice. More money and at 154. More interest. Cotto coming off of revenge against Margarito.

Mayweather then does two months in prison, doesn't fight in September, as was his usual plan.

9/2012 -- Sergio fights Chavez Jr.

That means the earliest date for this fight is 5/2013, right?

4/2013 -- Martinez fights Murray.

5/2013 -- Mayweather fights Guerrero.

I think it's clear that he shouldn't have been moving up after his prison stint for Martinez as his first fight.

PAC wasn't going to be bullied or have his name smeared. A lawsuit was settled and upon that settlement he agreed to testing. What followed was about ten subsequent excuses by Floyd to avoid him for five years. He even admits it himself.

That wasn't a bully tactic. Other people thought that Pac was juicing because his rise in weight keeping the domination. Floyd had agreed to everything and it was a 50/50 purse split.

Erroneous that after Pac gets KOed by Marquez was calling for more Red testing .

I agree with Johnston and Frietas would had been good fights but he didn't duck them.
