Are those numbers buys in the US or worldwide?

I hope they're not just US because comparing an American's PPV figures in America against a Philippino's makes no sense to me.

        Example:

Floyd Mayweather v Shane Mosley = US fighter v US fighter in the US = clearly of interest to Americans

Manny Pacquiao v Joshua Clottey = Philippino fighter v Ghanaian fighter in the US = clearly of much less interest to Americans

Such comparisons are pointless because of the nationality of the fighters and the audience. For Floyd to lose that would just be embarassing to be honest.

Still, are the comparisons not pointless though? Of course Americans fighting in America are going to garner higher viewing figures in America.

that excuse isnt valid anymore, manny has had more ppv fights in america than floyd, they both had their first pay per view fights in 2005 but since then manny has been in 11 pay per view fights in america and floyd has been in 7.

the "hes not american" excuse is embarrassing to use considering manny has been fighting in USA since a decade

Is the revenue that is listed the actual net income?

The debate is about who is entitled to the bigger PPV split.

That is the largest percentage of revenue, with the possible exception of what Ricky Hatton did in England but that was also PPV buys. It all has to do with who generates more money, Floyd has been getting paid more than Manny for a reason.
