Floyd Mayweather Jr is great for boxing. Hate him or Love him.

this has been obvious since late 1997-lol--and when he defeated genaro hernandez---we knew how great he would become-well, at least i did-lol--i knew since he was an amateur--i used to mimick his style and james toney's style, roy jones's style and of course marvin hagler's style--with a little of ali--back when i was 8 years old--that's how long i've known of floyd mayweather jr--and when i list him with those other names, i mean it-greatness--
despite his obvious skill level, his determination to the sport is like noting i've ever seen before--it kind of remids me of well, me-lol--
we can talk about floyd's career moves until we're all blue in the face but the fact remains--floyd is where he's supposed to be-he took his charisma and channeled it with a persona that will never be forgotten---ever--
call him anything you want folks--this kid was born to be a great fighter--i have yet to anyone besides myself with his type of skill which is why i can defend him the way i do, get criticized for it by you all, and still describe him in a way to which you'd think i've been in his camp damn near my whole life--
it's no accident that he still holds the ppv record for buyrates to this day--the mother****er fought oscar back in may of 2007--damn near 4 years now, and nobody has come close to topping that fight--it takes 2 to tango--oscar's highest ppv fight besides floyd was back in 1999 i believe when he fought tito--1.4 million buys--with 2 fighters in their absolute prime--two countries behind them---2 undefeated ww's--
and floyd topped that easily with oscar--why? because of his greatness--you all can call him every name in the book that has ever been made and the numbers will not change--
he still holds the record for the highest compubox stats in the history of the sport--he still holds the record for winning as much titles as he won, no catchweights, legit titles in just a little over 10 years--and has remained undefeated and never really close to being beaten except twice and of those fights he was almost cheated out of, like the olympics---
but besides numbers he brings in, his skill is in a league of it's own--he has dominated p4p4p championship level fighters, former champions--and has been able to capture the essence of a true character in this sport--
he is so hated--but you all can't help but to go on your little computers and labtops and type his name out because he has sparked an emotion in all of us that is undeniable--whether we like it or not and admit it or not--
floyd is truly the greatest fighter of his era, no doubt about it--and no question in my mind is he the greatest skilled fighter to have ever boxed professionally--and that's the truth--that's how i see it--
agree to diasgree with me if you all want--floyd is the truth and i have said this countless amounts of times--and we have still yet to see that virtuoso type performance that sky rockets him to the best that ever did it in 1 night anyway-lol---
his last truly great performance was against hatton--and before that gatti--and before that coralles---and before that hernandez---pacquiao has an ass whooping coming to him--and i am willing to bet 1 million dollars of my own money that he will dominate the living **** out of manny before stopping him by the 8th round--
i am willing to bet it down to the tee--including compubox stats--i have yet to be wrong--i know the sport 2 damn well to be wrong--i was spot on--damn near perfect in my prediction for the mosley fight--who floyd basically toyed with---
let's see who's willing to take that bet--not 1 million points, 1 million dollars and i guarantee i will pay if i'm wrong--i promise you all--
i know this fight is overrated and has been--manny will not beat floyd--and deep down manny knows it already--he's already beaten as a fighter--
who cares about you all defending him and bashing his fans and calling floyd out for manny--in that ring, manny will not beat floyd at all--no way in hell or heaven--
now, yes, i do have 1 millions dollars plus in my account--and somebody on here can bet me 1 dollar to my 1 million and i will gladly take it--it will be the easiest dollar i ever made in my life, and no, i don't mean the way pound4pound and pullcounter make their dollars, by walking the streets---lol--
any takers? you can give me your account numbers privately and we can make this happen---i promise you all--Comment

i will even predict the punch floyd will land on manny to **** him up--as i have already done in the past--and it's not his right hand lead like many of you on here think--it's his left hand--what punch? stay tuned after this commercial break!lolComment

He's great for boxing when he fights.
But all the retirements and vacations is terrible for boxing. Firstly, his mind isn't concentrated during these times, and you see him get into all the crap that he has with the criminal proceedings (which is a terrible, terrible image for himself and the sport). And secondly you don't get to see the talent and ability he displays when in the ring, which does do a lot for the sport.Comment
