People need to realize that most of the ****-talking that happens is just to hype the fight up more. I doubt most fighters really mean most of the **** talking they throw out.

This needs to be said again. Mayweather said himself that "fighters like to talk"

Its a shame that he thinks thats the only way to sell a pay per view fight

Actually he wouldn't. Hatton and Cotto would give him all he can handle. I know you feel like he's superman right now because he dominated an overrated club level fighter but really now...

Secondly, yeah. Hatton might give him a good fight, just because he comes in so fast, and never slows down. That fight will probably not happen any time soon, as Hatton has showed his distaste for fighting in MSG. I actually haven't seen any Cotto fights, so I can't say much about him so I'll go on with Hatton. Mayweather can actually win a fight against Hatton with relative ease, because Hatton cuts pretty easy. If Mayweather could get a cut early, he has the speed and accuracy to take full advantage of that and TKO Hatton early on.

If he can't do that, he'd have his hands full all night, because Ricky would NOT stop coming.

spinxjinx, there's no way Mayweather would agree to fight Hatton if it wasn't a 22x22, or whatever the biggest ring is. He may be arrogant, but he isn't ******.

Cotto is not ready for Floyd right now..Maybe Hatton is. That would be awesome..what ever happened to Mitchell?..after the 2nd Tszyu fight I havent heard anything from him..thats a fight I would of loved to see Floyd -vs- Mitchell.

For any of you ****ers (not you magick) saying he'd beat Cotto easily you need a reality check. Hatton and Cotto are both leagues ahead of Gatti. Hatton is a tough bastard with a rugged style, great body attack, and a very good chin. He'd JLC Mayweathers ass all over again except he's bigger and probably a little stronger.

Cotto has quick hands, again a great body attack, a great left hook, and the all around skills to punish Mayweather when he makes mistakes. He's a very good counter puncher and might be the heaviest hitter in the division.

Both of these guys would give Mayweather all sorts of trouble and I'd bet big time with any of you that Cotto would KO his ass.

Cotto is not ready for Floyd right now..Maybe Hatton is. That would be awesome..what ever happened to Mitchell?..after the 2nd Tszyu fight I havent heard anything from him..thats a fight I would of loved to see Floyd -vs- Mitchell.

Mitchell moved up to welter and was on the undercard of the Tyson fight. He won on the scorecards after a brutal headbutt ended the fight in the fifth (Mitchell was the one who got the worst of it).

Could be a tune-up fight if and when Floyd moves to welter, though.

You're underrating Mayweather's punching power. I don't see how anyone could do that after tonight. Cotto got rattled by Corley, I think Floyd would kill him.
