i think Gatti can beat any of the top fighters, Mayweather is just in a league of his own

Finished? this is the first fight he's lost in yr's. Maybe he should move up to Welter...either way, I wouldnt say he's finished just yet.

          Mayweather had him beat Mentally...

Gatti and his camp talk about they had a plan to beat Mayweather, but it's clear that they had no plan. For god sakes the guy was asking Ricky Hatton before the fight for some pointers.

I think Mayweather has the most trouble with Hatton out of all of them. Hatton is quick as hell and unlike Gatti he doesnt head hunt he goes straight to the body. Hatton could be the man at 140 he has the speed and power along with the beard to get the job done.

If Mayweather fights Hatton all I can say is that it will be a very competitive fight but Mayweather better pray for a big ring.

I still think Cotto is really green and needs a fight or two with another top level guy before he takes a stab at Mayweather.

All I have to say is that after a performance like that people have to start talking about Mayweather's place among the all-time greats, never mind who's fighting now. Don't try to say that Gatti wasn't a high-caliber opponent, we know he's good and he got slaughtered. But more than that, more than that, Mayweather put on a boxing performance that was one of most skillful, and one of the most dominant you will probably ever see. Simple as that.

jinx, your post from late yesterday about this being a blowout was prophetic. Good call .

Yeah but he hasnt fought anyone in the same league, really though Gatti might be exciting but he hasnt beaten anyone of note except some blown up lightweights.

Gatti moves to 147 that is even deeper waters for him when he takes on a top 10 guy. All of the top guys at 140-147 aside from Hatton are boxers and Hatton is to rugged for Gatti at this stage in his career.

Bring ma man Hatton gainst Mayweather!

However, Mayweather says he doesn't want Hatton right now, least in Europe.
