@Socram.. I have a simple answer... PRIDE! Mayweather and his family flat out accused Manny of taking PEDs (they say it's an opinion but Roger stated HE KNOWS EXACTLY what he is supposed taking) so it is an accusation. So, after draggin Pacman's name thru the mud, why would you let him get a career payday off of your name?

@ImDazed... yeah, good point too. I'm sure they both want the money but their egos want the upperhand. For one minute I don't think either fighter believes they wouldn't win but I guarantee you if Manny is losing like Shane was after 6 rounds, Manny wouldn't just sit there and mail it in and neither would Floyd. I don't think neither one is afraid of the other, they just both want the upper hand...

So in other words, "pride" didn't really matter right? Let's try that question again then.

The "clean up the sport" thing is semi-B.S. Mayweather honestly thinks Pacquiao is using PEDs. Hell, a lot of people do. The whole "clean up the sport" movement was accidental. I highly doubt that was Floyd's original intent, but it still makes sense. Why not help clean up the sport? It also aids in forcing Manny to take the test. He and Mayweather are the most recognizable boxers on the planet, it looks su****ious when 1 isn't willing to "help clean up the sport".

Mayweather is smarter than a lot of you give him credit for.

Because he's in the position to do it now. If he was a no name fighter no one would pay attention. But now that he's the biggest name in boxing he can do it, and people pay attention.

Buddy Floyd offered Manny everything and Manny turned it down , now Floyd is turning down Mannys offer , dont start with Floyd this and that bull**** Manny is as much to blame as anyone in this he said no the first time .

Floyd does deserve more money because the money he generates in his fights is more than the money Pac has generated in his fights thats a fact , thats not hard to see so dont ignore it like it dont mean anything this is a business , hopefully common ground will prevail and it gets made .

AFTER PAC BEAT COTTO made 1.25 MIL and FLOYD BEAT MARQUEZ made 1.0 MIL... DID PAC ASK FOR MORE THAN 50-50 back in FEBRUARY ?!?!?!? Besides, FLOYD is RICH already, throwing away an opportunity to take down a TOP DAWG in his era.

Mayweather-Pacquaio is a business agreement. And in a business agreement, the terms have to be right for both sides. Fcats are facts. Mayweather is the bigger draw. And by the fight not happening the last time, it allowed him to go out and hammer that point down even more. Since his return, Money has outdrawn Pac by 500K PPv buys. That's a lot more revenue that he's generated. So yeah, he's probably entitled to a bigger slice of the pie. Its simple. Money will likely demand 65%-75% of the purse against a Williams or Martinez and make about the same amount as he would in 50/50 split with Pac. Plus, he'd have all of his drug testing demands granted. Plus, from a legacy standpoint, those two middleweights are probably seen as bigger threats than Pac. So I know its kinda difficult for those in Pacland to accept, but Mayweather needs Pac a lot less at this point that Pac need Money.
