A primed Mosely would have finished of Mayweather
Mosely was an old man in there, he needed a cane lol Too old, no stamina mouth already opened in the 4th round. He couldn't keep up, he had no stamina. He is just to old for an almost 39 year old fighter. It just shows people where fooled to believing he still has it.
As Larry Merchant pointed out in an interview, fighters who are past there prime will still create the illusion that they are good when faced with a slow fighter (Margarito), But if faced with a fast younger fighter the reality takes over and it usually shows the real picture that past there prime fighters can't compete with someone faster.
That said, he looked sensational in the Margarito fight coz maybe there is a strong possibility he juiced up that time as well, coz that's what a self confessed juicer will do if his an old boxer who wants to compete in the highest level.
But yup Floyd didn't allow him to juice up, (which is really Mosely's only chance if the fight goes to the distance with Floyd) But without the help of Peds, we saw what he really is. an old Prune with power.
We all know Power is the last one that goes out from an old fighter, that's why he still caught floyd with a devastating right. It's just that he was too slow to compete with Floyd's youth.
If it was a young primed mosely who fought Floyd. Floyd would have his 2nd loss already ( castillo his first loss ). Mosely would have finished him of for sure. He just wasn't able to finish him off coz lets face it speed vs speed, a younger fighter will most likely have more to offer.
An old prune like Mosely was able to land a hard right on a supposedly fast Mayweather. What more if it was a fast prime Mosely in there?
A younger Mosely with power would have followed through with that 2nd round performance.
Watching the Hbo ppv, Emanuel steward noticed Mosely had to use the Gloves mayweather chose for him before the start of the fight.
Plus the fact that Mosely wasn't even been able to break in his new Grant gloves(pillow Gloves, the one with more padding in the knuckles were boxers like floyd use coz of his brittle hands) during training is a bad thing going to a fight.
A fighter should be using his choice of gloves as a tennis player or a golfer should be using their choice of racket or golf set, but agian mayweather who is so good at getting all the advantage for him made Mosely wear Grant gloves. Which we know damn well isn't his gloves of choice.
Imagine if it was the punchers gloves Cleto Reyes ( punchers gloves/fighters gloves ) that caught mayweather head with that big right Mosely threw.
Yup, it could have been lights out mayweather. we all know Mosely is a deadly finisher in his prime.
But we also know mayweather won't fight if the advantages is stacked against him right?
He always seems to get the advantage to all fighters.
In this fight, he made mosely use his choice of gloves, allowed him to fight him @ almost 39 years of age, made him draw blood even if he has taken the same blood test but damn his younger right and he is still no prune like Mosely who is almost 39 years old, surely he gets more affected losing blood than him..
So imagine that, everything was stalked up against shane and shane almost knocked him out on the 2nd.
First of all you guys say Mosely ain't a prune coz he is still good for a almost 39 year old fighting May, but now that Floyd is about to retire for 2 years you *****s say he won't be fast anymore he won't be in his prime anymore, and he won't be the same fighter anymore if he comesback @ 34years of age, he will be eaten by the younger lions if he comes back..
