As for the thread it does sadden me that in a sport which is probably the most multi cultural some do seem intent on forwarding an agenda, and I don't just isolate Tunney etc in that, as there does seem to be a lot of black guys who seem overly pro black.
At the end of the day when you look at the contributions that say Pep, Ali, Benny Leonard, Duran, Galaxy etc etc etc have made to boxing I think pretty much every race, nationality or religeon should feel proud.
Human nature to pull for a guy that you feel an empathy with, be it religeon, race, or the fact that he might have ginger hair like you or be short, absolutely nothing wrong with that.
My problem is that if you are say English and you have an English fighter who is black that you will always pull for the white American fighter.
It can be difficult on who to support as I found when say Marciano fought ****ell, as I was a massive fan of Marciano but was desperate for an English guy to win the title. But I do feel that there are some both black and white on here that see a boxers name and their first thought is what colour is he?

For myself I am not a big fan of Mayweather or BHop personally as I don't like all that trash talking. I liked it with Ali as I always felt there was a tongue in cheek wit there, but that is me getting old and grouchy I guess. I can fully understand younger fans liking Mayweather.
I don't much like the style of the Klitschko brothers personally but I do think that they carry themselves with enormous dignity and behave as I would expect champion's to behave. I think that they would be horrified at the behaviour of some of their fans. Does not liking their style make me a self hating "******"?

At the end of the day, support the fighters you have an empathy with cheer on your country men but respect others picks and remember that boxing would be an awful lot poorer if it wasn't as diverse.
