Being knowledgeable doesn't always mean you're going to be a good commentator.

He was pretty lousy during the Hopkins-Mercado 2/Pettway-Brown broadcast on Showtime, although he provided some unintentional comedy. I think he did some other broadcasts recently but I didn't see it. I hope he's improved.

He'd always have 2 other men at his side commentating with him as well - I don't doubt he could do the job well. he wouldn't have to speak too much

Tyson or any fighter imo would def bring something worth listening to, with their knowledge of the intangibles from actually stepping under the lights with a killer. I will be mostly watching the fight, i see whats happening, don't need no white men in suits telling me (or influencing) what i see. But some of yall want personalities or some **** like that? thats cool, mike would def bring good money and attention being involved in anyway with boxing. some of yall want clear english speaking and ****? Thats cool too, Larry Merchant and Max the ***ish MC are still there.

in my OWN opinion, I would throw all them non-fighters out, **** that college degree and proper speaking ****. Roger, May Sr, Campbell, Paulie, SRL, Hagler, Mike, Naz (Brother or Prince). I know ppl would b put of by this change, so different than the broadcast teams that we are so accustomed to seeing, and might lose some money, and some cant even understand what some of these guys say with their accent. But I can understand it.

But if they decide to throw out steward, and tease with these fighters only to put in brian kenny and dan rafael, its all good too. I watch for fights not guys in suits talking.
