As a boxing fan I think the most logical would be let manny keep his ring size, glove size and weight penalty give floyd the OST and the MGM grand and do a 60/40 split, 60 goes to the winner.

That is just a dream, there is no way that floyd would agree to this type of split of the money with someone from top rank. Bob Arum has too much power in the sport of boxing, you see how the media and the sports writers have treated him since he left top rank(definitely not a coincidence). Boxing is the shadiest sport there is so that is definitely not a smart business move.

I honestly dont think this fight is going to happen without the OST with no cut off date, the purse splite isnt going to be as big of a deal as the testing. During the first negotiations, bob arum knew the only reason floyd came back was because he wanted to fight pacquiao(and taxes). I think they overplayed their hand.

They didnt think they could bully floyd like they did. I dont care if you like floyd or not who would of thought he would accept a 50/50 split, I for one was like he really wants this fight.

And they didnt think floyd was that serious about the testing issue or they that could just bully him into dropping it. To be honest they didnt think Floyd Sr was that serious about the testing issue, I've heard there was already su****ion about pac being on something in the boxing world before this came up. Even though Sr isnt cautious about the things that come out of his mouth he is very cautious when it comes to his son fighting and getting hurt. If it was left up to Roger and Jr this fight would of happened in march because Roger just cares about ****ing somebody up and floyd is just worried about the cash. But Floyd Sr is trying to protect his son. He is the reason that floyd is so cautious in the ring, I believe if it wasnt for roger developing his offensive skills when Sr got locked up his fights would be 10 times worst for casual fans, who already think he is boring. All you have to do is look at some of interviews like the infamous "I dont like my son fighting southpaws" video or more recently his interview he did after the mosley fight, he was kind of pissed that mayweather went into attack mode in the third he thought floyd should of took the third off just to make sure he was recovered. The excuses that team pac kept throwing out each day is what got Roger and Jr on board with the OST. I will bet money that floyd and roger had to persuade Sr to except the 14 day cutoff the first time because they didnt care but once the excuses started flying that inclined them to believe that he had something to hide. To understand my reasoning all you have to do is look at how floyd fights compared to how roger fought. Roger was more of a fighter with some defensive moves but not a traditional defense so he relied more on his offense.Floyd is safety first, doesnt like getting hit and creates offense off of his defense. Sr taught him how to box but IMO roger is the person that taught him to be more offensive at times.

In terms of nba teams Roger would be the mavericks back when them and the suns was the 2 highest scoring teams. The suns basically was all offense the mavericks atleast tried to play defense sometimes it just ******. Floyd Sr is the pistons when they won the the championship nothing too exciting, basically all defense. And I would say floyd is the spurs once they got ginobli and parker. Like the spurs he is defense first, defense creates offense mentality but if you give the ball to ginobli or parker on the offensive side they can do some amazing things. And last but not least, like floyd unless you are a spurs fan nine times out of ten you hate them but deep down you respect their game, even though you wont admit it in public.

Yeah i hope they get the fight signed too, But these things take a lot of time to be honest, I really knew Mayweather wanted to fight Pacquiao back in March when he agreed to 50-50... I was shocked!!!! He didnt have to IMO and going by facts/number he didnt have to so for me i was SHOCKED!!!

You a cool floyd fan poster, but, be real man. If the terms from floyd last time was 14 days/ 50/50.. why the change? First it was the testing. Pac compromised to get the fight to happen. Now that the testing is out of the way, it's now the purse split. Floyd did more ppv buys with mosley than manny did with clottey, true. However, when pac did more ppv buys with cotto than floyd did with marquez, manny understood it should be 50/50. The two top fighters in the game on a level of their own, IMO.

1.02 mil and 1.25 mill are close so yeah 50/50; 700k and 1.4 mil are no where in the same realm you see the difference.
