It's a replacement from Maidana. I realize he was supposed to fight him the first time around, but Maidana was avaliable and they went with him. Maidana "got hurt" and so it's back to abregu.

It's not even a bad fight. Really besides Alexander, Maibuza (People are going to boxrec him right now because he's not even known), and Vivian Harris (who Abregu is better than) no one is really avaliable. It's a test at 147 to get used to the weight and he's said plenty of times that he's coming back down.

What people don't realize is Bradley doesn't make anywhere near as much as Khan. Khan criticzes Bradley for "not wanting to be part of the HBO 140 tournament", but that's not true at all. Bradley just wants his due. Khan made 1.1 Million for the fight against Paulie. Bradley probably is making 400k to 600k would be my guess. That's nowhere near.

I agree he should fight Alexander, but he's nowhere near ducking him. He was offered 150,000 dollars to fight Alexander after his fight with Witter. What a joke. He fought Holt instead, who was at the time more proven. He also fought Campbell, also more proven at the time.

Alexander is a great fighter and they should fight, but the only reason why people are on his bandwagon is because of his loud mouth trainer and his willingness to fight people. Except they ignore the fact when Alexander was interviewed after Urango, he said he wanted to fight Bradley...in the fall. He wanted a home fight in the Lou first and he's getting that.

Bradley Alexander wouldn't have happened this summer unless HBO somehow was putting up good money for the both of them, but that wasn't gonna happen. It makes more sense for them to build the fight.

In the meantime, Bradley is taking a stay busy fight and making his first HBO apperance.

Good post this is what I've been saying. There is nothing wrong with this fight.Truth be told it's far more dangerous then Devon's fight IMHO.

Bradley is a dud. He's so overrated by his fans and I don't even think he's an exciting fighter. If he had the right attitude outside of the ring when it came to fighting the right guys, I wouldn't be so hard on him. He's got a pitty pat amateurish style and he cries outside of the ring after fights which is annoying just like Spinks did. But the thing is Spinks had to fight the best or the TV networks wouldn't televise his fights. Bradley is in a similar position in a way, because fighting guys like Arbegu doesn't increase his popularity even if it is an HBO fight. I am not even gonna bother watching this card.
