That's one way of looking at it. I prefer to think of it as Conte saying that 14 days is reasonable enough cut off to take the blood test.

Note that Conte NEVER DIFFERENTIATED HIS STATEMENTS.

      you did.

Why else do you think he said that Floyd jr. SHOULD ACCEPT THE 14 DAY CUT OFF?
This is whats said its exactly as I said it was , one is his professional opinion which he gave a suggested 5 days , and then his opinion as a fight fan 14 days saying lets get it on , its quite easy to comprehend what Conte is saying and he does differentiate because there is a contradiction 5 then 14 days and he agrees with both .

"I think you got to take it a step at a time. And I don't think you can just walk in and take over the sport and implement Olympic caliber testing by USADA all at the same time. I think you have to compromise, you have to look at the specifics of boxing and you have to develop a program that is tailor-made for the sport of boxing, so I suggested 5 days out because there are certain things you can do to more easily circumvent as opposed to using the 14-day or the 24-day out as a cut-off for testing. I would recommend 5 days, but if you're hungry a half loaf of bread is better than none and I think you need to compromise. And I don't think it's ever going to be perfect,"

"Manny Pacquiao has now came up and said that he is willing to do the testing all the way up to 14 days before, my opinion is, they need to make this fight. Let's get it on.

I wonder how Conte's statements will now affect the negotiations?
Its part of the hype. I'm sure of it.

Why else is it a 3 part interview after the Khan fight where Manny says yes to a 14 day cut-off?

Also being after the Khan Malignaggi fight hype means this will get good coverage across four continents.

It is NOT a contradiction. He stated already that 5 days is BETTER. But 14 is GOOD ENOUGH. Isn't that part of negotiating? You want to get a better deal, but to make the fight happen, you should just settle for GOOD ENOUGH?

He finds 14 days sufficient that he actually recommended that Floyd jr. TAKE THE 14 DAY CUT OFF. It would be better if Manny take a 5 day cut off, but IT IS STILL OK IF HE TOOK THE 14 DAY CUT OFF.

Just like there are minimum requirements. it would be better if you go BEYOND the minimum requirements, but it is good enough that you meet THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT.

So to Conte, 14 days is the minimum requirement, with 5 the optimal choice. But if you meet the minimum requirement, then that is STILL good enough.

Well, i really don't mind if its all part of the hype. Heck, i'm all for it if it makes for a record PPV. Just as long as the fight eventually gets made. That is the most important thing for me.

Funny how conte was some Pacquiao's enemy when he was talking about how boxing needs to improve their testing, Its funny how conte was supposely on Mayweather's payroll.

Anyway good analogy from conte, Boxing need to implement their own program that would affect the boxers and a program that would work and suit boxing but randomly.

Lets establish whats behind the contradicting dates give by Conte , the 5 days is said with the wording I suggested , to who , Mayweather who approached him as a consultant , thats plain to see .

Now the 14 days is the fight fan in Conte and that is also plain to see .

I dont care either way if the fight is made Im happy , all Im saying is dont go overboard with your 14 days because Floyd could shove that same article in you face and say Conte told him it should be 5 days .

You guys need to look at all the angles instead of just your agenda .

Or maybe he's mad that Floyd jr. skimped on him and didn't pay him as they agreed. You know how floyd is with money.

The balls in Money's court. If he don't play it his legacy gets played down and out.

                      Simple.
