You need to stop, seriously. And YES it IS the testing. If it weren't you guys would have not have been babying Manny for the last 6 months.

Good luck with the 365 24/7 testing. That would cost a ****load of money so It would be interesting to see who signs off on that. Is that even fair for boxers to be subjected to random testing at all times? Unlike most team sports, there is no off season in boxing. I think the best way would be to start the random testing once the fight is offically announced. But to test 365 24/7 is ridiculous. These guys do have a life out of boxing also. They're not prisoners to boxing.

These forums are sad. I'll try to cover all areas and all arguments with my post.

If you've claimed "Olympic athletes have been beating test for years", than you haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about. It wasn't until the late 1990’s that the IOC took the initiative to battle doping head on. This lead to the inception of the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) in 1999, thus introducing a new method of drug testing through both blood and urine samples; Random so that users couldn’t form cycles around testing dates. These testing methods were first introduced in the 2004 summer games and the 2006 winter games. As expected, being so recently implemented, it didn’t completely eliminate attempts at PED use in the 2004 Summer games as several medalist in weightlifting, and cross country were disqualified do to failed drug test. However, in the 2006 winter games, only a single athlete failed a drug test and had his or her medal revoked. During the Beijing games, 3,667 athletes were tested by the IOC under the au****es of the World Anti-Doping Agency. Both urine and blood testing were used in a coordinated effort to nullify potential PED users. Only six athletes failed drug test while in competition in Beijing. Thats roughly 1.6% of the total number of athletes who participated in the Beijing olympics. If translations are necessary, based on that numbers alone, WADA has rendered potential PED's users practically non existent.

For those touting Marion Jones victory over WADA, Marion Jones was never subject to WADA HGH testing. The 2000 Sydney games were the games Jones admitted to using performance enhancing drugs; and her admissions were supported by her tremendous success in those games. That was 4 years before HGH testing of any kind was implemented into the Olympics. If your curious about her performance in those games? She came in fifth in the Long Jump and competed in the women's 4x100m relay where the USA women's team, failed to qualify. It wasn't until 2008, the Beijing games, that WADA made tremendous advancements in their HGH testing, and began out of competition testing.

Furthermore, EPO is detectable. it came into clinical practice around 1989, when the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the hormone. Over the last 20 years, scientists have improved and evolved the synthetic nature of the drug. About 10 or 11 years ago ‘Aranesp’ became available, and in the last few years CERA also came into the market. These being the drugs often used as PED's. EPO, Aranesp and CERA are all the same basic structure of the EPO molecule; they just have variants added in to produce a longer lasting effect. When EPO was first introduced it was required to be injected usually three times a week. When Aranesp came out this was reduced to once a week and a single injection of CERA would maintain a patients hemo level for up to a month. As synthetic drugs like Aranesp and CERA are not identical to the natural hormone, it is traceable. In fact, some manufacturers have installed 'indicators' or 'markers' into the drugs to illuminate their use in professional sports.

I could go on for days, but there's no point. People will believe what they wish.

this is also from Conte in January :

The King of Steroids, Victor Conte, has apparently turned from the “dark side” like Darth Vader before the end of “Return of the Jedi.” He wants to reach out and catch the crooks.

However, Victor’s “seeing of the light,” and desire to catch criminals, has involved some controversial comments towards boxing’s “pound for pound” best Manny Pacquiao.

Victor says that he’s ‘highly su****ious” of Pacquiao.

“Is it su****ious the way (Pacquiao) has gained so much lean muscle mass while retaining and even seemingly improving his power and speed? Yes. It is highly su****ious.”… Conte in a recent interview with The Sweet Science.

What he said in May, doesn't conflict in any way with what he said in January. Not supporting WADA, and suspecting Pac is on PED's have zero correlation.

                      He also said:

"I would not want to single-out Manny Pacquiao because I have no direct evidence that he has used any performance enhancing drugs. That being said, I think we need to be su****ious of everybody at the elite level. What he's doing, to go from the lower weight divisions up to many divisions higher and maintain his speed and power- is that su****ious? Yes it is. But are there people throughout Olympic or professional sports history that are just genetic freaks and have a mindset that's powerful, and I guess the question is, 'Could you do what Manny Pacquiao does?' or 'Could other fighters do what Manny Pacquiao does and be clean?', I believe with hard-tech nutrition and training and these other available methods like this intermittent hypoxic training which has some of the benefits, the same benefits you would receive from using EPO, I believe it can be done"
