Keeping 100% doesnt mean you dont have bills to pay. GBP get paid for their work. Look at Ellerbe as an intern for Schaefer. Mayweather Promotions is just a dream in the making for pbf. They have to start somewhere. The brand is being created as we speak. The sponsorship relationships are being formed also. You dont see many other fighters co-promoting with the big dogs do you?

Stop being so bitter towards a particular fighter all the time. And chose to think 4 urself.

now thats not true. nobody works for free, they do it for one reason or another. mosley even confirmed floyd pays gbp, they certainly get a cut, a small cut most likely.

what do they mean when they say a fight is being promoted by golden boy promotions and co promoted by mayweather promotions if mayweather is part of golden boy?

Technically he's right ..... See in business may it be music film or sport.... Theres this thing called return on investment ..... So say golden boy put's in x amount of dollars for promotion ... The money is used on a certain interest .... After the event the promotion company get there money back .... With what every interest, from the profit ..... A long with HBO and all the other sub contractors.... Then Floyd get his share from the gross.... In telling he gets a 100% of his gross... Un like fights who have to pay the promoter x % of there final gross ... Get it know ....

                      Guys... y'all have short memories.

Do you remember who promoted the Baldomir fight? (I apologize to Pacquiao fans who didn't follow the sport "way back then").

Do you remember last year when mayweather flew down to Florida to meet with Don King? Well, that was a leverage play to squeeze a better deal from GBP. Floyd uses GBP as a free-agent promoter because GBP has the existing infrastructure and relationships to set up the fights.

And those deals benefit GBP as well (what have been GBP's biggest fights in recent years?). Since Oscar isn't fighting, and there are no more big-budget Hopkins or Barrera fights, what would GBP do with their existing staff and overhead?

It is a symbiotic relationship that works well. The events have been all class, and everybody has made a ton of money.
