How are Marquez and Vasquez future HOFers?

Seems to me some of you ppl don't have a clue WHO gets in the HOF. If you consider who already got in you would realize that
1) JMM wil most likely be a first ballot HOF,
2) Rafa *should* most definitely get there
3) To be honest, while Izzy's career is not as impressive, he did enough. Again, consider the level of who gets in, don't imagine a magical place where you have to be a top 50atg to be there. If you consider this, you see that there is space for Izzy.Comment

I think that Gatti and Ward don't belong in the same sentence with Marquez and Vazquez, and this post makes me wonder about what you are smoking, and makes me think I might like some of that.Comment

I was just trying to make a point, just cuz guys are involved in great fights doesn't mean they are great fighters...I wouldn't put all of those guys on the same level...Comment

Well I think there is little doubt on Rafa being HOF. He dominated 118 for years and moved up to face the man at 122.
On Izzy I can see your point, but at the end of the day, if you see who is in Canastota and you consider he has the most relevant wins in their tetralogy. I think it would be somewhat unfair for him to never get in.
Now... about Gatti and Ward... that's a different story. They were never dominant fighters in any division they fought in. The point that they don't deserve HOF based on lack of accomplishments is completely legit, but I suspect they will be in nonetheless.Comment

Comparing Vazquez-Marquez to Gatti and Ward is an insult. Not the fights they had, I actually think Gatti-Ward I is a top five all tiem fight. But the skill level on which they fought, their level of competition, raw boxing ability, etc. both fighters blow Gatti and especially Ward out of the water. Both Marquez brothers and Vazquez are definitely HOFers, and Gatti might be too when you factor in popularity and his untimely death (murder?) last year.Comment
