How are Marquez and Vasquez future HOFers?

I'm sure there trilogy will go down in boxing history but I don't think the fighters themselves belong in the Hall...if so then we should put Gatti and Ward in there as well...your thoughts?

Neither one of them are Hall of Famers in my book.

Maybe if JMM goes after that 4th title.

Quality of the trilogy man and quality of the fighters. Gatti and Ward were 2 C+/B- level guys going at it in a trilogy that got progressively worse.

Vazquez and Marquez were 2 A level fighters going at it at much higher skill level in fights that got progressively better.

I would actually call Vazquez a B+ fighter tbh.. But Rafa is definitely without a doubt a future HOF'amer.

You have to appreciate his body of work at 118 and then moving up to beat the guy who was THE guy at 22 at the time in Vazquez despite being the naturally smaller maing.

Beating prime versions of Two Sharp Johnson 2x, Mabuza 2x, and Timmy Austin all by k.o= HOF status.

People forget just how damn good those guys were and Rafa blitzed them.

          He's talking about Rafael Marquez

And JMM is already a hall of fame fighter 4th title or not

I think JMM is a stretch for the Hall...he did beat Barrera and Casamayor but both guys were past it...but JMM may have been as well...Juarez sucks to me...if he gets another top win I would...

Both of the 2 beat some solid opponents but only thing I see HOF worthy is the trilogy they had...or maybe I'm being too critical...

You're being too critical especially since you seem convinced that Hopkins is top 5 mw material.

Beat an old tarver, lost to a B level Jermain Taylor 2x, and made 20 title defenses against a bunch of nobodies.

I guess that makes him top 5 Mw material.

Where by comparison both Marquez brothers have a resume full of tough fights and they can't even make the HOF??

WTF ex... think about that ****.

Yes but mainly because if you put one in both have to go in (IMO) and one of them is sure to get in.

Same thing with Chico and JLC once one dude gets in the other dude will follow because of the fight they had.

Gatti will probably get in but Ward is not on a level with these other guys but Ward will get mention still because of the fights he had with Gatti.

Bro Rafa is a Hall of famer for sure.

                    Mark Johnson 2x
                    Tim Austin
                    Silence Mabuza 2x
                    Israel Vazquez 2x
                    Mauricio Pastana 2x

he also has a bunch of other quality wins as well ,along with the fact he will more than likey pick up a few more quality wins in the next year or two as well. He is one of the best bantamwieghts of this era and off all-time IMO as well.
