I might say MMA is harder because there is more to it, More ways to lose. But it's all a matter of opinion. In terms of training, Boxing is one of the tougest sports in the world for sure.

Ice hockey? baseball? that high up? the only one i agree with is boxing at first place the rest I don't. I really doubt their methods.

Boxing may not be like a triathlon in terms of stamina requirements but considering how long a fight lasts the mental concentration required, stamina required and potential long term damage to a fighters body it has to be the most demanding spot in the world.

It's not like a team sport where you can relax and rely on a team member, or even another solo sport where you can take a (physical and mental) breather as you know by doing so you could get seriously hurt..
MMA maybe close but as there is take downs much less rounds it stops the chances of a 12 round warrior type fight.
Peak for peak I can't think of another athlete that would be as fit and in such a physical shape as the likes of pacquiao and mayweather..

              Your thoughts?
maybe boxing is a lil bit physically demanding on mma. taking down on resisting opponent or defending a position from a takedown uses a lot of muscles that quiet tiring too. so aside from striking mmaist cant also relaxed during clinches.

i may add triathlon as one of the physically taxing.

But the difference between Cycling and Boxing is that in Boxing your using every muscle when in Cycling your mainly just using one set of muscles. I could be wrong though, I don't cycle much.
Well the question was which sport was the most physically demanding. I would think the TDF fits the bill as it equals running a tough marathon every day for 3 weeks.

yeah, the most jealous sport by far, be unfaitful to it and you will get ur ass kicked for sure next time u step on that ring.

Also the if u get up you can keep fighting rule its just brutal, no other sport has something like that
