Cause Floyd saw a fighter that could whoop his butt and couldnt use the excuse that " there is no money in it ".....also Pac is considered p4p #1, is prime and fighting in his weight class.... he had enough excuse w/Margo and Cotto...he ran out of excuses ..so booom....OST....
Why didnt Floyd ever demand OST until he was faced with Pacquaio?

The problem is that Mayweather revoked that compromise offer months ago. If you want to know his reasoning then search the internet for his official statement.Since when did you start speaking for Mayweather. Weak reply, try again but this time without trying to speak as if you're Mayweather. Obviously Mayweather is concerned about fighting guys who are on PEDs. Come on man.Comment

If you didn't have anything intelligent to say, you shouldn't have posted.Trash is trash talk, if you understand that it's BS then don't take it so seriously. It's funny how Pacquiao supporters want to take everything that comes out of Team Mayweather's mouth literal. You all want to hold the guy and his team to every single word that comes out of their mouths, no matter the context of what has been said. Yet, you don't do the same for Team Pacuiao. None of you question anything that they say, no matter how inconsistent or contradictory it is. It's quite telling my man.
You want Mayweather to prove that he's the best and that Pacquiao is "easy work"? Then tell Pacquiao to take the tests and guarantee Mayweather a fair fight. Why is that too much to ask? You ask the wrong questions. Instwead of ask ing why Mayweather revoked the 14 day offer, you should be asking why Pacquiao refused the offer to walk away and fight Clottey? You should be asking why he is trying to accept an offer that was revoked months ago? You won't ask those questions because you won't dare question Pacquiao. To answer your question, Mayweather probably revoked the offer because it was simply a last ditch effort to salvage the fight back in march. Once Pacquiao rejected the offer and walked away, that probably only made him more su****ious that the guy is dirty. Hence the revocation of the offer, months ago.
Manny is willing to compromise to get this fight done. Manny wants to fight. Does floyd?

Did you even read the thread starter? Obviously not. The entire point of this thread was why was Floyd suddenly concerned with "cleaning up the sport" when faced with Paq. As far as your assertion that Floyd is concerned with fighting guys who are on PEDs, pathetic. Paq moved from 106 to 147 and Floyd thinks he is on PEDs? Floyd moved from 106 to 154, according to your own logic, Floyd is on PEDs. Come on man....Last edited by | THE KING |; 05-23-2010, 12:37 PM.Comment

Manny is willing to compromise (to floyds own terms) to make this fight happen. Manny wants the fight. Does floyd?Comment

Floyd had 39 fights before he retired, and never once did he ask for OST from any potential oppenent. After he retired and Paq destroyed DLH and Hatton with much greater ease than Floyd had, there started to be talk of Floyd coming out of retirement to fight Paq. Instead, Floyd fought an undersized and overmatched JMM, and did not ask for OST. After Paq wiped the floor with Cotto, the boxing public erupted with excitement for Paq vs Floyd. Suddenly, Floyd wanted to "clean up the sport". Bull****! He was faced with someone who could seriously challenge him and very possibly take his precious 0. Forty fights and the system works fine, now he looks at someone who has done much better against common opponents, doesnt want to fight him, and looks for a way to save face. After Paq rightfully refused to let Floyd make up the rules, and after Shanes fight came up, Floyd had to demand the same OST from Shane or anyone else he fought or it would be obvious that the OST was aimed specifically at Paq, period. And before anyone throws back "Why dont Paq just take the test?", the answer is "why was testing NEVER an issue until Paq was standing in front of Floyd? Whatever the excuse, I just hope the fight gets made. Anyone who thinks Paq walks through Floyd is nuts, and anyone who thinks Paq will be easy work for Floyd is nuts. That is why it has to happen.
Its quite ****ing obvious.

When it comes to Pacquiao, Floyd is like those dog that only bark when they're on the other side of the fence. The closer you get to them the farther they move back, but they still bark nonstop like they will take care of business in a second.Comment

I really want an intelligent answer from the real Floyd fans.
"Reasons" for Floyd demanding OST's
1) Cleaning up the sportOmarinbox had the only intelligent response to this, Floyd and Paq are the two biggest names in the sport today and bring weight to the issue (and I did give him his green K for it), however, if that is the case, why hasnt Floyd made this point himself. In addition, if the big names are the reason Floyd could have done this in his fight against DLH.
2)"Paq must be on something because he has moved from 106 to 147 and gotten better along the way" If this is the case, consider the following: DLH won titles in five weight classes = PED user, Floyd started at 106 and won titles all the way to 154 = PED user. Its all the same logic, or lack thereof.
3)Paq is on Roids. This is the most ridiculous excuse of all. Even when Paq was fighting at 130 he was cutting weight to make it and fighting at about 142 on fight night. He couldnt put on the muscle he has now because you cant cut muscle and put it back on in the 24 hours after a weigh-in. Paq and his camp realized that they could fight at 140 and 147 without cutting weight and dealing with the adverse affects of it, which actually works to their advantage in the ring. Paq's weight on fight night now is only about 5 pounds more than it was when he was fighting at 130, the difference is in muscle, much of it in the legs, leading to quicker footwork, more punching power, and destruction of all his opponents above 130 except Clottey. You could hit that guy with a freight train and he isnt going downComment

Pac suddenly became superhuman with super stamina, and develpoed a great right hand and good footwork and started beating bigger slower walk forward fighters.
Only PED's can explain that!
Floyd thinks Pac is going to kill him eventhough JMM outboxed Pac twice.....??Comment

I want to see the fight as well, but I'm not willing to overlook su****ious behavior and inappropriately place the blame on one fighter over the other depending on who I like or dislike. Stop hiding behind that "I just want to see the fight" BS and be honest for a change. If any of you Pacquiao fanatics wanted to see the fight you'd be advocating for your man to take the tests instead of flip flopping all over the place coming up with excuses for why he won't. Actually, Pacquiao's fans are no better than his team is. Just as dishonest.Last edited by thatnickuh; 05-23-2010, 01:27 PM.Comment
