Look, maybe Vazquez is a shot fighter however he was headbutted above both eyes which opened the cuts. Look at the first round, you see a clash of heads and then a spot of blood over Izzy's left eye. Then a few seconds later, a huge right lands and blood spurts everywhere. Also, the replay clearly showed the right eye cut was caused by a butt as well. I am happy for Marquez (I like both fighters) but I look at this fight as a 'no contest' and instant replay proves that was the true result....

it's not the headbutts man, it's the scar tissue around his eyes. Didn't you see his eyes before the fight even began?? The skin is basically drooping over.

2 GREAT WARRIORS!!!! I respect both tremendously, as should all boxing fans. That said, they should both hang them up. Their rivalry has given boxing fans some of the best brawls of all time. Their first 3 fights should be an example to fighters of what we want to see. Fighters should put their blood, sweat, and tears into being prize fighters like these 2.

Izzy needs to hang them up. His eyes won't ever heal correctly. This will just happen over and over again.

I know a lot of people are gonna discredit Marquez's win over Vasquez saying that Izzy he had to deal with the eye problems and what not. But who the **** do you think is the cause of his eyes being the way they are before the fourth fight began?

And after the third fight, right before it went to the cards I was hoping they would give the decision to Vasquez even though I'm a bigger fan of Rafa, because I'm not a biased fan like Dap is and didn't think that Rafa got robbed. But I seriously question of how Vasquez could've swarmed Marquez like that if Pat Russell didn't penalize Rafa for that body shot that wasn't low. He needed that to slow Vasquez down and that's why Vasquez was able to unleash the assault he did at the end in my opinion. Marquez deserves to go down as the better fighter of the two if he goes on to have a couple more good wins. And I said in the lead up to the fight that if Rafa lost, Vasquez would have to be ranked over him in greatness when their careers are over, no question about it.

It was Rafa's night tonight however.

well they do have a case now to make a 5th battle, but I doubt it will happen since it was a one-sided win this time

I don't want to see a 5th fight only because Vazquez eyes clearly will never heal properly. His eyes cost him the fight tonight. I also am not sure how well Vazquez can see out his eyes anymore.

not just his vision, but the scar tissue from all those procedures to the eye will always be a hinderance to a peak performance. i felt robbed by this fight. im used to a war from these two men. both came to fight. but one was betrayed by his body.

Headbutts do happen though and none of them were with intent. I mean Marquez cannot help it if Izzy's skin cannot hold up. He just went in there and fought. We all knew Izzy's skin would let go, headbutts or not.

It would not be fair to Marquez to take a victory away because of Izzy's scar tissue. You have to draw a line somewhere.

i agree with you 100% i would never take away from these two great men. i personally wanted to see a repeat of the first fight as did im sure most did.

He's already blind, look at the pre fight pictures. His left eye is a mess and the right isn't much better. He can't see the punches coming, enough.
