he has fast hands and a long reach floyd would of trouble countering and floyd is not a big puncher so i dont think he will hurt him. it will be like hoya vs mayweather except khan isnt old and out of his prime

I don't care if he's sparred with Manny..... he is not on Manny's level, and nowhere near Floyd's. The kid has great potential, but he needs to pass a couple of tests against the beasts in his own weight division before he wants to step in with the best at 147.

You can only ANSWER how well khan would do against Mayweather after he has cleaned out the 140 division. It's obvious after every camp Khan improves drastically, so you can't say todays amir khan will be close to the unified champ khan...

I can see Amir Khan giving Mayweather problems if they both fought tomorrow.

But inevitably Floyd would get that right-hand going and would knock Khan out between rounds 7-10.

How many times have we said you need a good consistant jab to beat Floyd. Khan's is fast and powerful and there is not huge scope to counter it. Khan would do ok against Floyd until he started getting timed. Probably better than Hatton, Marquez and probably Shane.

People are talking about speed, like its this magic winning potion.

1.) you do not need to have more speed than your opponent to beat him

2.) having more speed than your opponent, does not negate his speed

Having speed is like having a bullet, but having a bullet will not win you a gunfight. You need the tools to take advantage of your speed.

Speed will only help you if you have skill, ring acumen, and experience..... just like a bullet will only help you if you have a gun, a good eye, and a steady hand.

My first point above.....
you do not need to have more speed than your opponent to beat him

you need to have enough speed to be able to get to your opponent, when and how your style and gameplan require

having more speed than your opponent, does not negate his speed
speed does not negate speed..... timing, skill, and defence will negate speed

It would be a silly move to cash-out on Amir at this point in his career.

If he answers some questions at 140, and the timing is right, who knows.....
but not yet, its too soon buddy.

Khan isn't ready yet... he had a good win against Paulie fair play to him but Mayweather and Pacquiao are a completely different ball game.
