You've seen this reinforced weeks ago. A Mosley that didn't gass out prematurely would have beaten Floyd. Meaning, Khan has to have Pac's skills to beat a guy like Floyd.
Each of these three comments are sig-worthy.....

It would be interesting to see this fight, though.

Paulie's only slight resemblance to Floyd is his speed that's it! Paulie can't lick a stamp while Floyd just proved to be stronger, faster, more durable and smarter than the #1 welter-wt in the world. Freddie Roach is a media nut cause Amir will never get pass 140. He wont even avenge his 1st round KO loss but he suppose to be the big, bad wolf. LMFAO. I think Ortiz or Saul Alvarez would KO Amir right now not to mention Bradley, Alexander or Maidana.

People are talking about speed, like its this magic winning potion.

1.) you do not need to have more speed than your opponent to beat him

2.) having more speed than your opponent, does not negate his speed

Having speed is like having a bullet, but having a bullet will not win you a gunfight. You need the tools to take advantage of your speed.

Speed will only help you if you have skill, ring acumen, and experience..... just like a bullet will only help you if you have a gun, a good eye, and a steady hand.

        My first point above.....
you do not need to have more speed than your opponent to beat him

you need to have enough speed to be able to get to your opponent, when and how your style and gameplan require

        My second point above.....
having more speed than your opponent, does not negate his speed
speed does not negate speed..... timing, skill, and defence will negate speed

It would be a silly move to cash-out on Amir at this point in his career.

If he answers some questions at 140, and the timing is right, who knows.....
but not yet, its too soon buddy.

Gezz your the only poster thats talking with any since. the rest of these poster just sound dumb, throwing speed around like some new buzz word. Floyd has proven a number of times that he does not need speed to win fights.

Are you kidding me? You're saying Pacquiao is more skilled than him..He need to have Pac's power and chin in order to beat Floyd because he's way ahead of Pacquiao in the skills department..

why everybody wants floyd to fight every fucckin boxer coming up , damn, u think floyd is gonna wait for khan to be "ready" ? come on, khan is the future, floyd is the present, when khan feels "ready", floyd will be long gone from the sport chillin in the hall of fame. the only fighter left for floyd to whoop is pacquiao after that, i have no problems wit him retiring forever, he will prove everything and shut the world up wit that win.

let me see khan vs timothy bradley to find out if hes really all that good, the paulie win was cool, but everybody knew he was in no threat cuz paulie only has 5 ko's his whole career, lets see how he fights a guy that could knock his head off

It'll be part 2 of Mayweather and Mosley meaning Kahn will start out looking good for the first few rounds but will end up being played for a fool round after round...

Looks like Roach is already counting Pacquiao out.

What did he mean? Is Pacquiao going to lose or will never fight Mayweather?

                    I didn't get it.

                    :x

Sounds funny, Amir got potencial but he is not at Pacquiao/Mayweather league yet.

I love how people throw around the neon stuff like it actually determines a fight. "Floyd's speed will..."

Even after the layoff, Muhammad Ali's speed was 5x that of Joe Frazier. He was also 3 inches taller and 15 pounds heavier, but Joe beat the ever-loving piss out of him.

Beating speed doesn't require speed. Mayweather isn't even the fastest guy between 140-154. Timing, and thinking are the ways to beat hand speed. It also helps to take them out of their element. A good way to do that is to back up and let the speedier guy come to you. Before he can set, fill the space with a punch.

Tactics will beat speed every time. But the good tactics do require physical assets. Just having speed isn't enough.
