Chad Dawson is the next thing in terms of skill to Floyd. Time will tell when these SMWs move up. It'll be a clash eventually. I'm hoping it's Ward so everyone can see how good Dawson really is. Ward has good skill but he will continue to hold and clinch, which will be his downfall. Chad is a great fighter in a weak division.

I don't see why Dawson is getting this kind of praise. Like I said, he's a very good fighter. But you guys are making him out to be Mayweather department. That's laughable.

Well it's interesting that, during his retirement, the one time Floyd showed his face at a boxing event was to watch Chad Dawson. And that he declared Chad Dawson the best fighter in the world. They don't share the same management and, up until that point, weren't friends of any sort. Floyd doesn't give out praise that easily, this we know.

Dawson isn't at Floyd's level but I think he is top five pound for pound. He has been quite overlooked but is an experienced champ heading into his prime and I'd make him a strong favorite over any 168 or 175lber.

No question the guy is skilled, but he fades at the end of fights and doesn't have a very good chin. I'm not saying that getting praise from Mayweather isn't a good thing.
