Been saying this for a while now, I think Foreman will outbox Miguel. But not sure if he will hurt him.

Not really mate, it's truthful, foreman can cause anybody problems from what I have seen, although I think cotto will beat him, and possibly drop himComment

You're getting a little ahead of yourself, buddy. If he does do everything you say up to exposing Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez will punish him severely.Comment

Remember when everyone was talking about Michael Jennings. A good undefeated fighter with about 30 wins remember. This is another Michael Jennings. Can someone tell me the last 5 opponents Yuri Foreman has faced? Daniel Santos was a bum trinket holder. Cotto by TKO in 7.Comment

That's not why he is saying it.
Steward was prepared to train Foreman for this fight because he saw Foreman's potential and thought he could add something to make him a great fighter.
He knows firsthand how good Foreman is and his comments reflect that.Comment

Thats BS dude. How can you say that when he left Foreman for Cotto? He did that. He had Foreman on a string like you are good and I will accept it but let me see if I can get the Cotto job 1st. Thats why Foreman's people said **** that, and went a different direction. If he thought Foreman was that much of the real deal then he wouldve never even considered a smaller, some say washed up Cotto, over a young guy who he could lead for a long career into multiple titles. Dont buy that hype. Yes, he thinks Foreman is good but nothing special.
These quotes were about saving face because the Foreman camp said they are going to kick Cotto's ass to make Steward look bad. Steward does this **** alll the time now, no matter what he's talking about. He'll say something is even or he'll say that one guy could make the other guy look real bad "unless". Its like he tries to have everything both ways so if the guy loses then his **** dont look bad and if he wins then he will get mad credit. He aint slickComment

Foreman only wanted Steward as an advisor, not as his trainer. Steward wouldn't have been leading him for years like you insinuate above. He would have helped out for the Cotto fight and then they would have said "thanks for your time we won't be needing your services anymore".
Cotto offered him the job as lead trainer for much more money.
Everyone knows boxing is only about money. So why are you blaming Steward for taking a much higher paying job? Not to mention a job that could last for multiple fights instead of 1?Comment

I get the feeling that Stewart is not too sure based on what he has seen in Cotto's sparring.Trainer Emanuel Steward is predicting a very hard contest when Miguel Cotto, a former champion at 140 and 147-pounds, moves up in weight to 154-pounds to challenge undefeated WBA champion Yuri Foreman on June 5 in Yankee Stadium located in New York.
