I fight. My most recent outing was a split decision loss at the PA Golden Gloves. I earned a black belt in HapKiDo before I switched to boxing, so I got a late start, but getting to where I wanna be at.

I do, I'm lucky enough to have two boxing gyms around me only a 15 minutes walk, I have done a bit of backyard stuff with my friends and I've had a fair few amateur fights (around 25)

I also do some training at my gym (like a proper gym not a boxing gym) there are some pads there and a heavy bag but I mostly do cardio and a little bit of weights training.

That brings back memories...we use to bring 14oz gloves to school so we could "box" (it was really scrapping) during lunch time....was more to just impress the girls

Then after HS hung out at the local boxing gym (3rd street in SF,CA) picked up a few things, hit the heavy bag, speed bag, jumped rope and listened to the "club fighters" and their advice and wisdom.....that's about the extent of my boxing experience....

I know having a 50lb. heavy bag hanging in my garage and hitting it maybe twice a week doesn't qualify as "training"....

NY golden gloves, now I train youngsters. Was slow a couple of years ago but as late it has picked up. Believe it or not MMA has a lot to do with more youngsters comming to the gym cause Boxing is a discipline that has to be learned. In the end they stay with boxing

Never did any "official" boxing...too busy wrestling, muay thai, capoeria besides, there were no boxing gyms around that I knew of. Did mess around with my older brother and buddies in HS and I use some boxing workouts for interval training.
