The hate runs DEEP with Floyd.

He's always been held to an absurdly higher standard than anyone else for some reason.

I agree that, today he SHOULD be held to this high standard, but you can see even back then people actually thought Ricky Hatton would be the one to do Floyd in.

It's funny cause despite Pac's success, I still think the standard to which he is held is pretty low. Pac simply winning a fight is good enough, most still expect him to lose. Floyd is expected to win, only by losing can he shock the boxing world.

            Exactly.

I see people treating Manny like he's still a ****ing little featherweight or something.

Dude has proven that he belongs, and can **** with the big boys.

But Floyd himself said it best. Pacquiao has 3 losses, so no one is shocked if he does lose.

you dont know the reason? i guess it had nothing to do with him trashing every fighter in the history in order to claim himself the greatest of all time because he's undefeated when the best name on his resume is diego corrales & jose castillo?

                for some reason maybe....

Wow, so someone made a wrong prediction based on some sound reason.

Its not like Floyd even to this day is proven to have jaw dropping power at 147.

I guess ppl not being perfect and accurately predicting the future means they know nothing about boxing right?

Maybe it's cause he is/was the P4P king. The same way Roy was scrutinized for so many years.

This thread was not about 147, it was about his power against Gatti which he fought at 140 pounds.
