How are you 100% positive that he's retiring?

you've posted this exact same post in nearly every thread.

look, I have no problem with accepting that floyd mayweather is an ATG/HOF but there is nothing "Legendary" about him.

Floyd can be an ATG and still lag well behind Ali as such. There are degrees of ATGness.

I agree with this. No fighter today is even close to Ali, SRR, Louis, Pep, Greb, and Hammering Hank.

Floyds an ATG. People still wont accept it.

I think Floyd is the #2 Jr. Light all time behind Arguello; he might have beaten Alexis but AA gets the nod because his comp was just a lot better. That's ATG enough when considering the best of that class (i.e. Chocolate, Nelson, Serrano...deep class). Floyd invites the wild reactions he gets, but that doesn't mean his career can't also be objectively measured.

Ali fought everybody, even past his best.

But you can bet Ali would have never asked for "catch-weights" or avoided the best in each division as he moved up either if he were a lighter weight type fighter.
Simply viewing these two videos is enough to clean up this thread:

Yeah, it was a bit contradictory.
