Back in the pre-Roach days he was teamed with a conditioning guy who'd only worked with rugby players, this dude had never even worked with a boxer before. I remember seeing TV featurettes on his preparations and frowning at the kind of work he was doing with that guy. That whole operation was just amateurish when you saw inside, crazy when you consider the high-stakes size of it even back then.

If bolder innovations like that were to surface in Khan's repertoire, I'd be amazed to see it, in a good way.

It's funny, because even in putting the whole Khan conspiracy on blast these last couple days, I'm still actually more inclined to pull for Amir if all these guys start fighting each other - he's the one with the X Factor and perhaps the most intriguing makeup of all of them, his perceived vulnerability to a punch actually lends to that. As excellent as I acknowledge Bradley and Alexander to be, and I also think they're both good kids, I find them difficult to root for per se, moreso I just admire when I watch their fights.
Do you have high resolution pics of the khan vs malignaggi weigh in?

I want to see the further development made since the Barrera fight. Thanks.

I get fed up with all the hate fighters get i got fighters i don’t like but if you don’t like Bradley don’t bother posting about him, and to think people hate him personally and call him names yet they never even met him so haven’t a clue what he is like in real life.

On top of Khan's poor conditioning and body structure early on in his career, on the evening of the Prescott fight, he was 6 days into Ramadan. During this time Khan wouldn't have been able to eat or drink during sensible hours. In fact here is a quote from Amir Khan in 2007 highlighting the sacrifices he makes while fasting for Ramadan - "Fasting makes you feel weak," he said last year. "You have to wake up at four or five in the morning to eat, but you're knackered and you don't feel like food, you have to force it down. I wouldn't fast on the day of a fight though." I think that may have had a big part to play in his early demise against Prescott. He doesn't have a good chin by any stretch of the imagination, but some of the shots that Kotelnik caught him with, would have troubled him earlier in his career.

I think it is certainly the case that the move up in weight, Roach's new training regime, and Ariza's expert conditioning, have contributed to an improvement in Khan's punch resistance. I still wouldn't like to see him take a clean shot off of a big puncher, but I do have more confidence in his ability to absorb shots and pressure.

Khan has bigger shoulders and back.

Smaller arms especially the forearm area, for maximum speed.

Thicker legs for power as power travels from the legs and upwards, just look at manny pacquiaos legs they are like tree trunks. Thicker neck as well. His body fat is 5-6% on fight night.

Before when he had that rugby trainer he had 3% body fat and he was weight drained to 135. His whole body was just odd looking he had chicken legs and a massive upper body, thats why when he got jabbed by prescott he was disbalanced straight away. One final thought, he fought during ramadan does anybody know if he was fasting during the training camp or even at the fight.

Calling out Maidana just looks good to those who don't see the way the deck's being played.

            To the second sentence - don't be ******, I'm not that simple-minded.

I goddamn expected Khan to beat Paul. Any hope I had of Paul winning was just that, hope. I knew he wasn't anywhere near the old level of form which would've given him a really competetive chance in that matchup, and I was reduced to wishing before the fight that Paulie could just push him a bit on the night.

Somebody goaded me into betting e-points on him by saying I wasn't all the way with the Magic Man, so I took the bait.

If anything, Khan beating my guy makes me want to get behind him in fights against the other young guns on his block.

If Khan does fight Marquez, though, damn straight I'll be pulling for Marquez.

I don't like Khan that much.
Please, spare me your nonsense conspiracy theories. Khan and Roach have said multiple times that they plan on fighting Maidana as soon as he recovers from his back injury. The fight is gonna happen, whether you like it or not.

And judging from your posts in this thread, it looks to me that you "don't like Khan" at all. After the Khan-Maidana fight does happen, what will you do next? Make up some new nonsense conspiracy theory to justify your dislike of Khan?

'I'd like to thank God, praise God, blah blah blah.'

Whenever a fighter goes all bible basher it turns me off them - even as a commited catholic. A boxing ring is not the place for it.

This is why Tim Bradley is more than likely a bonafide wanker. Especially after an interview like this castigating Khan amongst other things - how Christian of him.

              He's a phony.

Even when he done that interview about how he still works in his garage I read in boxing news or one of them. 'People come in and say how comes you work in here you're the champ.' Puke, puke, puke.

I hope somebody knocks him off. Not a fan.

And I'm usually quite neutral regarding Bradley. I've never been a big fan of his but I always thought he would be willing to step up and fight the best. Well, Alexander is the best and he doesn't want to go near him. I'm just giving Bradley some of the treatment Khan got when he ducked Maidana. It would make me a hypocrite if I didn't. And people have always been against Khan, and always will be.
Bradley's been walking the walk for 2 years, though - Khan, and this is the truth, has been exclusively fighting guys who were selected for safety these last 18 months, so when he appears to hesitate at taking on the first dangerman who appears in his path, of course it means more than Bradley trying to maneuver the best deal possible for a fight with his main rival for dominance at JWW. See how way that fight is being looked at now, it's a genuine mouth-waterer, 2 supreme young American talents, both hungry and fired-up and determined as hell to do big things, real rivalry, it's a BIG one in terms of what it's perceived to mean to the division, so Bradley and his peeps want to make the highest coin possible off it, make the reward as near to the magnitude of the fight as possible. Of course Alexander's team will chase to make the fight right now, because they want Bradley's #1 spot. But seperate star-quality from actual body of work, and Khan just hasn't paid the kind of dues Bradley's paid, and as you keep correctly pointing out Maidana is Khan's mandatory so he should be fighting him anyway.

It's more hypocritical to not give Bradley some benefit of the doubt that his reasons for appearing to stall on Alexander are genuine and not just some ducking tactic. Bradley is an unshakeably determined young dude, I really don't think he has any doubt that he can beat Alexander. He just wants to get paid equal to what he feels the fight represents to the JWW division.

Hey, timbs, how's about this for a deal?,

if Khan fights any of these guns in his division after his projected July date -- Maidana, Bradley, Alexander, even a Urango or a Holt or a Kaizer Mabuza or a Lamont Peterson, hell, even a Herman Ngoudjo -- I'll be an accomplice to you in boosting him and supporting him in the build-ups and throughout any and all of those fights.

Obviously, if he fought Marquez I couldn't root for him in that fight. But you say he's not gonna do that - so World Peace and Good Times are coming, right?
