Why the hell are all you people bitching about nothing?

You are all riding Vitali's ass about taking a fight with Maskaev.

As far as I know, there is no such fight scheduled. I've gone to the Klitschko website, and there's no mention of it there, nor on any other boxing website that I can find. No mention of a Maskaev/Klitschko fight on Boxrec, either.

The only thing I can find is a gossip article that says Maskaevs camp wants a shot at Vitali.

So if Vitali has expressed no interest in fighting Maskaev, why the hell are all you people bitching about it, and acting and posting like he has?

Who the hell said they were gonna fight?

      Maskaev Seeks Redemption!
Today Dale Crowe, Tomorrow The World

Sometimes things cannot be controlled; such was the case when a press conference announcing the ESPN 2's Friday Night Fights card from Atlantic City, featuring heavyweight contender Oleg Maskaev and Ohio's Dale Crowe, was moved from one restaurant to another when the restaurant suffered a power failure.

Now with a new camp that includes promoter extrordinaire Dennis Rappaport, manager Fred Kesch, trainer Victor Valle, Jr., and strength conditioner Harrison Skeets, Maskaev is on a road that could take him straight to the top, and a date with heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko.

Rappaport explained, "We may have an announcement that will catch the sports world by surprise... If successful on Friday, June 24 at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, I could almost guarantee you he will fight in September for the heavyweight championship of the world."

Rappaport claims he has been negotiating with longtime friend and Klitschko advisor Shelly Finkel. Rappaport stated, "Oleg Maskaev is not only a tremendous puncher, but a dazzling, magnificent boxer." The longtime promoter added, "I have never seen a man make the improvements that Oleg has made."

Kesch said of Maskaev, "His desire to achieve what he wants and his willingness to learn new things to assist him is sensational. I truly believe that Oleg Maskaev will be heavyweight champion of the world."

Maskaev, a native of Zhambul, Uzbekistan, now resides on Staten Island, NY., and trains out of Gleason's Gym in Brooklyn; he currently sports a record of (30-5, 24 KO's.)

Asked about Dale Crowe, of Norwood, Ohio, (27-8-3, 38 KO's), Maskaev replied, "I know his style and I know who he's fought, he's very experienced." Unconcerned by the southpaw jinx, Maskaev says of his new trainer, "He's the best trainer I've ever seen, he's taught me a lot of things, I can't keep up with him."

Even after most of the boxing world counted out Oleg, a 1999 win over former heavyweight champ Hasim Rahman plays fresh in Oleg's mind, as well as an amateur match with the soon-to-be champ Vitali Klitschko, who failed to come out for the second round.

Oleg recalls, "He doesn't want to admit it, he says I didn't stop him, he says there was something wrong with his right hand, but that wasn't true... and will I finally have a chance in the future, so I would like to fight him again."

On the rest of the heap of heavyweights currently out there, Maskaev says he's unimpressed, adding, "There is no leader right now, like Lennox Lewis or Evander Holyfield or Mike Tyson many years ago."

The live card also features three light heavyweight bouts including Victor Paz against Jake Rodrigues; middleweight Tim O'Neil against Vance Garby and lightweights Robaz ****shvili and Jose Espinal.

Tickets for the live show are available at the Trump Taj Mahal Box Office or can be ordered from Ticketmaster. Ticket prices are $35, $50, $75 and $100 and the Oleg Maskaev-Dale Crowe bout will be televised live over ESPN 2, where Oleg expects to turn the lights out on Dale Crowe.

So you guys are basing all this on an article that says that Maskaev's promoter CLAIMS to have been in contacts with the Klitschko camp?

What does that mean? Been in contact. What, they called Vitali and asked for a fight?

That doesnt mean anything. You no reason, based on that article to believe that the fight will take place, or that Vitali has any interest in it.

You're gonna have to do better than that.

As I told the other twit who posted the EXACT same thread you did, do your homework before making a post like this.

Go to ********** and look for the articles yourself. There are several by and about SHELLY FINKLE (Vitali's advisor) who admits several times over they are looking at Maskiev, and deep into discussions with him.

HBO has now said they will not promote this fight, so it's not happening.

I am glad to hear it won't happen because I think its a meaningless fight.

Maskaev says he wants Vitali... Vitali has said nothing about Maskaev. What's the big deal? Vitali's not going to give this never-was-no-name bum a shot.
