I don't know why people keep asking this same asinine question almost every day. Even assuming that Mayweather might be somewhere in the top 500 expert fighters of all time, how the hell would anyone on this board know anything about it.

There are quite a few knowledgeable posters on BoxingScene, but the enjoyable effect caused by their interesting posts, is more often ruined by the idiocy and cretinism of the rest.

Please, boxing guys, if you want to post, send in a controversial, brain-teasing question, without all the backside licking of egotistical narcissic illiterates.

he's up there. in the top 5 or so. anyone who says otherwise is proly a hater or they dnt apprciated the stuff he does. his work in the ring is brilliant. even the ppl who dnt like him admit that. the guys a boxing prodigy.

If he were the most skilled fighter of all time, it wouldn't be more than a feather in his cap. You still have to accomplish things with that skill. While he has, he has way more to accomplish in order to be considered the best FIGHTER of all time.

I emphasis the word fighter not because of how he fights, but because of (at times) who he fights. He's getting it done now, but he's wasted a few fights/years. Nonetheless, he's also not the best technical fighter of all time, either.

Pernell Whitaker, Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, all better skilled and have done more with their skills than Floyd has thus far.

that qestion is mistakeable. but it would define skil as fighters who really have an understanding of how boxing works. fighters with the intelligence and the natural ability to not only box but control distance, counter, move around efficiently etc. the type of fighters that not only kno what they are gonna do, but also grasp what their opponent is gonna do and is able to keep them from doin it.

the list of most skilled fighters is arguable as well. u have guys like pep, robinson, leonard and even some older guys ive just become aware of. but floyd is def gong to be mentioned with those fighters when his time is up. his skill is the real deal. say what u want about him, but the guy is at home in a ring.

Hell No, The reason he looks good because hes fighting average fighters. He even looks way better because of opponents being smaller and past there prime.
Have Flyod fight Pac and you will see a average figther gets knock out in early rounds. Hince Flyod is requesting his own paid OST to even the playing field.

dude I aint gon lie, the dude's skill is up there with the rest of the GOATs. the thing that seperates him above the rest is the insane timing. he is in a different category of good, trust me. Im filipino and pac is my pride.

BUT no1 in the history of boxing can bring excitement like pac. Mike Tyson, RJJ were good but most of their fights they were expected to win. Pac's fights have so much uncertainties because of his size. When you see him kill legends in a spectacular way, the excitement is in a different level.
