      Mike Tyson
if he had only had more control of his life.
imagine him if he hadnt gone to jail or bitten Holyfield.
i understand his emotions made him a great fighter but he needed to control some of them

Michael Nunn may have been as talented a fighter as you will ever see...the guy was a step above everyone he fought...except for one problem....Michael Nunn hated the sport of boxing, he didnt like to fight!

People are mentioning things like if this guy had power or this guy had a chin...he would have been a badass...Nunn had the complete package however he hated the sport and never fully commited, had he simply commited to his profession he would have been every bit as good as Jones Jr.

Michael Nunn, a very very good fighter who easily could have been very very great!

agreed as far as the talent. Nunn was a bit unstable mentally. Attitude problem and lack of committment..which I guess is the same thing you said.

I remember when Sugar Ray wanted no part of Nunn and instead took the Hearns rematch

For a while he was the best p4p fighter in the sport he truly was Michael "second to" Nunn...

Still it is a shame because the guy had the tools to be an all timer!

when he one-punched Sambu Kalambay..it was on! Unfortunately, ******* and James Toney ended what could have been a great run.

Jones jr. with a granite chin and a classic war or two would have made him the GOAT

Also Wlad with even a half decent chin would be the dominant HW right now and for years to come.

Nunn was on cruse control in that Toney fight before he got caught, the fight was basically over before lights out landed that punch...that punch may have altered James's career.

                      Your right!

Jones as great as he is and was was always a front runner who won without going thru any adversity...a war would have helpoed his cause overall.

Now some people like to say that he was so much better than everyone else and that adversity was just not going to happen to a fighter that far ahead of everyone else...

However if he had struggled with someone and actually dug down and won a give and take war at some point in his career
I think people would really respect that a lot and consider him to be evn better than they do now. He is undoubtedly a great fighter but it is hard to call him a complete fighter because we never ever got to see his hearet on full display, it is not his fault but the fact remains we never got to see it.

I dont count his first fight with Tarver as digging down, **** he barely did antyhing in the last two rounds...it was more like Tarver throwing away the fight by being inactive and lazy then it was by Jones actually diggin down and kcking some ass.

A war would have done Jones's legacy good, no doubt.
