Why do you think Floyd, Martinez, Williams, Margacheato, etc. are all waiting for Manny to make his move? Nobody wants to agree to fight until they know what Pac is doing next.
    OK I will blame Pac. He is ducking. FINE.

    But, are you saying is not possible for Floyd to take a year or a year and half? He already did it once Why won't he do it again.

    And, my point with that post is not about would he or would he not fight Martinez.

    My point is that LarryX came on here and says don't take what Floyd says serious but yet he takes serious when Floyd says he will fight Martinez.

    I mean what is it? Should I or should I not take Floyd serious.

    Now if you're asking for my personal take. Personally all this taking time off and Martinez possible opponent. Is a negotiation ploy for Pac. Saying that he has other options or really doesn't need the money or the fight.

      Anything is possible when you're talking about the best boxer in the world. He might take some time off, but I don't see him taking another 16-24 months off because he only has a few more years left in the sport. Look what happened the last time he took a break from the sport. He lost his #1 spot as the #1 p4p and the best boxer in the world. People always accuse him of ducking fighters when he took a break from the sport. It would be a bad move for him to retire again because people really want to see him fight Pac and other top boxers.

      I understand what you're saying and I also understand what Larry is saying. Do I feel Floyd is serious about retiring again? Not at all. He wouldn't be back in the gym 24 hours training and sparring for his next opponent after wining his biggest fight of his career.

      Not really because he already has all the leverage he needs against Pac. He makes more money, he sells more, his live gate makes more, more people pay to watch him fight, he keeps dominating the guys who Pac ducked, etc.

      I was told by Floyd's team Floyd would fight Martinez for the right offer if Pac is still scared of a blood test. *cough* 20 million guarantee *cough*

        So basically they won't fight Martinez. Now we're on the same page.

            If Pac didn't take the tests for March,why would he take them now??? Who ducked who-the last I checked,Manny quickly signed to fight Clottey far before Floyd had an opponent...

                  Are you sure about that? Floyd would love to beat another fighter who Manny ducked in his prime and win the belts at 160. Floyd can easily get 20 million for fighting Martinez.

                  Let's say they sell 850K PPVs.

                  850K = $51M

                  Live gate = Around $8-10M.

                  Site fee = Another $10-15.

                  This is not including close circuit, bars, movie theaters, sponsors, etc.
