Paulie is a warrior.. he couldn't always back up the trash talking, but he never quit and always went out on he's shield.. no doubt, the guy has accomplished a lot with what hes been given..

Paulie once said he don't love boxing and only here because it pays well at a HOF convention once.

He said something similar after the Juan Diaz 1 fight.

Now don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy and mybe pride will let him retire because the divsion is stacked and no one is easy as Njougo etc... anymore, but no way Paulie can make that sort of money, even 200k a year without boxing.

He should carry on but actually not fight anyone like he normally does. Sometimes you shouldn't be too tough and be clever.

carefull with that paulie bashing, there are quite a few number of paulie nuthuggers in here who will call you words for not liking their lightfisted trashtalker idol from newyork.

Paulie is still a good boxer. however he has little power and doesn't have any crack in his punch to keep the Elites honest when they come in. People can pretty much eat his punches like Candy, and oncethey walk through them they can just continue to hit him until they win a lopsided decision or tko.

Maybe 135 wouldn't be bad for him, although I'd love to see him commentate.

He is Way too talented to retire at 29 and can make some money fighting other fighters. It would be foolish to retire now....If i were him, I would fight 4 more times and then retire with some loot to really retire on. I sat next to Paulie years back at Atlantic city and we chatted throughout the fight. He was very cool and called the Francisco Bojado vs fight against Jess James Leija right on the money! Hey Paulie you could make an excellent analyst!!! But give us some more fights first!
Then as boxing fans we should let HBO know we would appreciate someone like Paulie on the roster.
