Nice post.....I agree with the Pac not being slick part. I think Floyd would have a harder time with Zab because Zab tries to be slick and a pure boxer. He's trying to time Floyd and throw specific precise punches. I think that would be harder to deal with for Floyd than someone like Pac who is just constantly throwing & letting his hands go. With that being said, because he is a Southpaw, Pac still has a chance to catch him wit some **** early and maybe stop him. Thats his only chance. He has to knock him out in the first 4 rounds or hurt him bad enough to the point where it lingers for a long time like Forrest did to Shane.
The Chop fight isnt a huge deal to me because early on Floyd was still using alot of the Shoulder Roll and now he doesnt use that against Southpaws. Floyd is also obviously better than he was back then. He may not be as fast or young but he's even smarter and knows what to expect now. Its just like Pac is better than the guy who fought JMM the 1st time around so you cant really say that Floyd will just outbox him like JMM did because Pac is a better all around boxer now.
I gotta ask you this though, How is Pac better NOW then he was in 2008 when he fought Marquez?
Makes no sense, how did he get better?

since u dont agree with the pac getting better part since 2008..........and u agree with the floyds part getting better, how did floyd get better since then????????Comment

Thats why I specifically said the "1st" JMM fight. Some argue that he's better since the 2nd one also but that can be debated. I was always in the minority when people were saying that Pac would now kill him at 140 after he beat Hatton. I didnt think that at all. JMM is a master boxer and would give his ass hell then and after the Cotto fight. I think the JMM that fought Floyd woud still give Pac mad hell at that weight because of the styles. Still, Pac is a bad boy now. He's not that one demensional guy he was before with just one arm. He uses both hands well now and is actually a pretty good pure boxer now.
He didnt use to know how to fight going backwards but he's now a really good counter puncher. He also does things now that he never use to do, like set traps. If you really look at the Floyd-Mosley fight, it wasnt just age like people were saying. Floyd had his ass mixed. He was landing that right hand so if you watch closely, there were alot of times where Shane came forward strictly preparing for that right hand. He had his eyes fixed on it and would paw it with his left hand but then as soon as he was about to explode everytime, Floyd would stick the left jab on him and throw him off. Like he never even had that on his mind because he was so worried about the right.
Pac did the same type of things to Cotto. Cotto was killing Pac in the 1st with that jab but Pac quickly took that **** away and was hooking the **** out of him off that jab every single time. He couldnt even come close to doing that a few years prior. He's smarter now and a very solid boxerComment

to me...that's doesn't equate to smarter boxing techniques...with the use of both of his hands...he's just become a more efficient brawler or puncher...pac still fights as a lead puncher...he works on specific types of punches...but overall...he hasn't shown me that he can't be timed or countered like he could in 08...he simply hasn't fought a boxer since...i agree that JMM would give him problems...but i find it hard to believe that the same punches that JMM threw in 08 would have the same effect on the pac of 2010...tha't where the confusion with me draws...overall...marquez doesn't have the reach, speed, footwork, or power to keep manny off of him today...pac takes this one more decisively than the other two in my eyes...Thats why I specifically said the "1st" JMM fight. Some argue that he's better since the 2nd one also but that can be debated. I was always in the minority when people were saying that Pac would now kill him at 140 after he beat Hatton. He didn't get better. Although one could argue that he became even braver, and what some would call at the time..."******." Pacquiao jumped up in weight, and fought Oscar who was Weight Drained. Regardless, Pacquiao gave Oscar a boxing clinic. Pacquiao displayed great boxing skills, timing, and coordination. He boxed beautifully. Then he took on a beast in Hatton-who regardless of his limited skills- is no walk in the park for anybody. Pac ko him and beat him with his skills. Then he took on a beast in Cotto. All these fighters were the great match ups for Pac's style. They suited his style well. But his skills, heart, and resilience ultimately gave him those victories. It was evident in the Clottey fight, as Clottey had a different style to Cotto's, Oscars, and hattons. Regardless, Clottey was to afraid to even engage a fight with Pac. Thus, Pac outworked him. Thus, Pacquiao is not better then he was in 2008 when he fought Marquez. He is-in my opinion- the same fighter; although mentally, and physically he has improved quite a bit...he has not really changed much.
My thoughts exactly DLT. Plus Pacquio doesn't have the reach that Corley, and Judah had. Pacquiao is a smaller guy then them. Regardless, they didn't have the lightning quick footwork that Pacquiao has. I think Floyd can outbox Pac from the outside because Floyd has a great jab, is bigger, has better timing, coordination, reflexes. etc. I can go on and on about all the advantages that Floyd has in this fight. Nevertheless, people (including my self) always count Manny out. But Pac surprises us all, as he is divine. Floyd can't do what Marquez did because he is not willing to put combination together throughout the length of a whole 12 round fight. He is most likely not willing to stand in front of Pacquiao, counter him, and trade like Marquez, or Morales. Pacquiao has a chance, and DLT explained it in his post.I agree with the Pac not being slick part. I think Floyd would have a harder time with Zab because Zab tries to be slick and a pure boxer.
