so basically what you are saying is that you don't know who Calderon is and you haven't watch too many Barrera fights because if you had, by your logic, Barrera would be a pure boxer. I thought you said you knew more about Boxing than anyone in this thread? It turns out you don't even follow it!

so, you would describe Barrera as being a classic "Mexican style" boxer?

pac was a different fighter then and he still won. calzaghe was old too when he beat them and he didnt just beat them he whoop there ass and hopkins could of fought calzaghe in 2003 but turned it down because of money

Roy was not a pure boxer.

          Willie Pep pure boxer

          Benny Leonard pure boxer

Henry Armstrong not a pure boxer

          Floyd Mayweather Jr pure boxer.

          Ivan Calderon pure boxer

          Ali not a pure boxer.
Unlike you, my definition of Pure boxing is not set in some cement classification, if you think about what you just wrote here then maybe finally you can understand why you are wrong. Again a pure boxer can do it all and transform if need be. Virtuoso is not a category in boxing, the guys I mentioned are trained in a pure boxing style and simply add their gifts to it. they are trained in the classic African American pure boxing style of fighting.

And also understand that my selected names are only the pure boxers who rise to the top of the sport, the biggest draws, the biggest names, etc...The whole point is how can you call this style of boxing boring or dull, when fighters trained in this style constantly become the top draw in the sport????

I do hope I have made my point clear for that last time.

You know you're dead wrong when even your own crew won't back you up. And I have yet to see one Floyd stan jump into your defense. You can't just make up terms that have already been used and then shout people down when you're wrong.

I'm not talking about Barrera, and how about this, consider him what you want to consider him, I have said nothing about MAB in this thread. Why are we even talking about MAB?

What Crew? Have you not noticed I am a loner on these boards? I dont need a Geek Squad to feel relevant.

But, I thought you're the one who spills the truth and that I made a mistake in challenging you. And, you tell me that you really don't know who about Calderon? The best pure boxer in the last decade not named Mayweather and you have not studied him?

And, then you here telling me that I only know about Pac. And, that you have so much more knowledge then I do. And, yet you can't tell me about one of the best pure boxers in the last decade?

GTFOH... Sign off like you promised. Don't comeback. You know **** about boxing. About the history, about the styles you know ****.

Just cuz Barrera is Mexican does not mean he is a come forward fighter. JMM does not have that style nor did Salvador Sancez.

Salvador Sanchez fits more to the pure boxer type than Roy and Ali.

Seriously don't respond cuz you don't know what you're talking about.

Go find something you do agree with, cause to be honest, the truths of the original post is what you want to divert. Let me remind you again:

The highest Paid, Biggest names, most talked about, biggest PPV fighters in the boxing has always and will continue to be the Pure boxers, fighters who happen to have the best all around skills, the most clever in the game. Robinson, Ali, Leonard, Jones, Mayweather!!! What do all of them have in common, they can box their ass off, thats what. And they aint afraid to call you a ***** and then make you look like one in the ring.

A shame that the best you detractors can come up with is if they did it "purely" or not.

Tyson was as big as they come, and he was NOT a pure boxer!
