I've never been a big fan of Leonard's, but I do give him some credit for what he said about that fight on 'Beyond the Glory'. On that show he admiited Tommy beat him in their second fight and as far he was concerned, "they were 1 and 1".

He gets a little bit of respect from me for saying something like that, especially when most fighters would NEVER admit they were defeated when the judges didn't see it that way.

I have to say that Leonard Hearns II was one of the biggest robberies I have seen since the Great Train Robbery. If Hearns had done what he did to Leonard outside of the ring he would still be serving time now. But yet again.... A big fight... A draw. I think many people are now begining to feel that any big fight that goes the distance is going to be a draw or a robbery so that the promoters can sell the re match.

Danny Williams vs. Michael Sprott III. Sprott could hardly see by the final two rounds and barely threw a punch. Danny was so in control that he was showboating, which angered the ref (the only judge in British bouts) - even Sprott knew he hadn't really won.

Howard Eastman vs. William Joppy. Howard let Joppy smack him on the jaw for kicks, dropped him in the last round and mocked Joppy to the crowd for running. Eastman believed he was robbed for the points decision going against him, and the boos of the crowd seemed to agree.

        Other recent notables?:

Roy Jones Jr. vs. Antonio Tarver. Personally, while Roy was clearly losing the fight, Tarver's low work rate allowed Roy to steal it on points.
hey idiot...roy beat tarver the first fight easily...roy hits tarver 10 times..tarver lands 1 big punches and the idiots in the audience went crazy..like how u probably were at home

Leanord-Hearns II was ten times the robbery that Leonard-Hagler was. The Hagler-Leanord fight was close.....Hearns beat his ass.

I still don't understand why some people are still so upset about very close matches such as Sturm/DLH and DLH-Trinidad......very very close matches that could've gone either way.

Jirov/Mesi though Mesi clearly won by points who won in your eyes? Not contraversial, but still, a beat down like that and still pulling off a win seems to me worth mentioning.
nah u just dont seem to understand how points work
u can say ya do but u obviously dont

the first barrera/morales fight was a robbery, not so much corrupt but incompetent scoring that gave morales the fight. mab won clearly.(that said morales did win the second fight)

did you read the part that said mesi clearly won on points? but more importantly you went from manny clearly won to marquez should have won on points. now who's the one that doesn't seem to understand?

Not really. Tarver landed more punches in the fight, but had a smaller percentage than Jones. Jones seemed dissinterested in fighting that day, allowing himself to get hit on the ropes. RJJ a few years back would have toyed with Tarver, though.
